I've always loved Kieli Meken right back from when he first released it in 2021. This lengthened updated version with it's praise for his homeland and culture was the perfect opener for the World Nomad Games in September and then to use it for the Travel Board with a full music video showing all the beautiful parts of Kazakhstan was inspired. So many people have seen this MV and said that they didn't realise how beautiful Kazakhstan was and that they'd love to see it for themselves. Dimash became Kazakhstans ambassador for tourism last year. I'm not a fan of rap usually either but this driving beat and Dimash's dips into full vocals give it a different vibe and also the respect that the lyrics give to his people and homeland make it very special.

Dimash has two siblings. Raushan, his sister, was born in 2001. She has a beautiful singing voice (and there are some videos that show this), but she is shy and declines to sing in public now. Can’t blame her with an older brother like Dimash. She is supposedly going to medical school, but she manages the family restaurant in Astana and helps out backstage at Dimash’s concerts. The youngest sibling is Abilmansur. Mansur was born in January 2007. He doesn’t sing in public. He’s going to a music school that Dimash attended, studying instruments. 🎉❤🎉

Thank you for your reaction. Dimash co-composed this song, his father wrote the lyrics and his younger brother, Mansur, plays the guitar and drums. This was commissioned by the Kazakh tourism industry to promote travel to Kazakhstan. Dimash is an accomplished horseman, but did not do the acrobatics. This is, I believe, the first time seeing Dimash play the kobyz and those are his dogs. Dimash is a great ambassador for Kazakhstan.

Dimash raps in "Be with Me" official video and "Screaming" Idol Hits version. He only raps in Kazakh (so far) which makes sense considering how quickly you have to speak! I like the fact that most of Dimash's rapping has uplifting lyrics. 🇨🇦

great reaction as usual. I think this is a great thing for Kazakh tourism (and I love it too though I'm from USA). Beautiful country. I don't usually like rap but I think the Kazakh version of it is great! I saw an interview with him once and he said he does love to listen to rap, and he likes Eminem. Mansur also writes music and has written a song or two for Dimash. Very talented family that is willing to work hard.

Dimash's entire family rides horses, and while some of the stuntwork he might have been able to do (standing on the horse), the insurers of this are not going to risk Dimash. He is literally too precious.

He sang this song on his Digital Show available on his KZbin channel, the first time I heard this song. He composed and his father wrote the lyrics. I'm not a rap person either, but his style and sung in Kazakh has a different feel from Western rap. It sounds more ethnic and masculine, not that "urban" sound. It fits this song...kind of nomadic... warrior, which is kind of what this song is about....his homeland, rich in nature and people coming from an ancient history influencing today...through the sounds of modern instruments. The video was made for the Kazakhstan tourist board...he's the tourist Ambassador. That's why you see Kazakhstan's beautiful landscape and if you think about that eagle, their national bird, it's like getting an "eagle's eye" view of Kazakhstan...soaring through the sky to all points. A first for me is seeing Dimash playing the Qobyz. The dogs are his, too. They're the National dog breed, Tazy, one of which was gifted to him by Kazakhstan's President. I think this is a phenomenal video, rather epic, especially for a tourist video. Maybe you should watch this song version from his Digital Show. Good reaction. Thanks. 👍😊

Yes, his entire family is talented. His younger sister, Raushan, also sings well, and has done a duet with Dimash (although she’s planning a medical career, not in entertainment). Both of Dimash’s parents sing and have performed with Dimash. Father plays dombra too. Mansur plays dombra and keyboards also. He composed the song called Together which there is an mv for and Dimash sings it at concerts whilst Mansur is on guitar. Talent all round.

BRAZIL - Hello Professor Carl, honestly I don't really like Rap and Funk either, but I'm referring to the Funk from my country (Brazil) which was born in Rio de Janeiro, and I don't like to listen to it (horrible lyrics). Dimash released KIELI MEKIN in his 2021 digital show at the time of the pandemic and I loved this style, but in his Kazakh language it sounds wonderful, the singer and composer YERBOLAT QUDAIBERGEN (WHO IS NOT RELATIVE TO DIMASH. Dimash's paternal grandfather's name was QUDAIBERGEN - whose tradition can give the first grandson the name as a surname) made the song together with Dimash. The family is really talented, Dimash's sister (RAUSHAN sings beautifully, but preferred to follow another career, it seems to me that it is medicine, but is always helping in the shows, but the youngest brother ABILMANSUR follows in Dimash's footsteps but as a composer and multi-instrumentalist (guitar, piano, drums, electric guitar, and dombura etc.) attending the same school as his brother DIMASH. The maneuvers on the horse are done by a specialized Kazakh team, called STUNTS NOMAD CREW, Dimash rides very well like the good Kazakh that he is, but it is dangerous for those who have no training.

I agree. The rap style is exactly the reason why I don't like this song (apart from the cheesy lyrics). The world does not need more rap, and in particular not by someone who can actually sing. I understand that Dimash has this self-imposed challenge to try every genre, but this case to me is a waste of talent.
