This sermon should be shouted from the rooftops. Never have I heard a sermon with more biblical gems packed into 50 minutes of teaching, directly and powerfully linking our chosen earthly forebears to the progressive fulfilment of the plan and promises of God for our redemption. Never before have I been so assured and impacted, nor had it so beautifully explained that every “t” has been crossed, every “i” dotted in God’s amazing plan throughout the centuries to bring into fruition His plan to rescue us, not only from the enemy, but from ourselves. I’ve been renewed with courage to rejoice in all circumstances; to trust and obey. 🙏

There comes a time when you listen to a particular speaker who, as he speaks, takes you into the depths of understanding such as you've never even seen, felt, or comprehended before in your life. And as he brings you to this deeper, clearer understanding, your eyes are opened to a revelation that you realize had eluded you, until this very moment! Voddie Baucham is such a passionate preacher of the Word- I was crying along with him as my comprehension of what he read EXPANDED! It was then that I was, and now am able to understand WHY I'm reading, and studying the Bible, and will continue to do so, as long as God gives me the strength. I want to get to that place of understanding where men of God like Voddie Baucham, and others are. But, until that time comes, I'll just keep reading, and listening to great preaching/teaching like "The Rescuer." Thank you Voddie for your love, and passion for God's Word- it's contagious!!

But never did I actually hear the book of Ruth until then. I didn’t even like Voddie who my husband made me listen to while I threw a fit (my evil self didn’t want to know Jesus). When he came to the church my husband took the baby out and made me sit and listen! That moment changed my life and I am transforming now because God let me hear Voddies message from God. ♥️

Amazing how You can tell when a preacher is speaking from the Holy Spirt. It teaches you something you don’t even see in the text, after have read it a million times! I was convicted, joyful, and saw the wonder of God in history. That is preaching knowledge, not hidden but revealed knowledge. I had tears in my eyes because I saw the love God has for us in the plain texted of the Bible. Not some motivational preacher selling a book and never drawing you into the word but drawing you to their book! This preacher though makes me want to go back and reread the whole historical narrative again. That’s drawing us to the cross.

I met him at 1st Baptist church in Houston. He was so kind to pray for me and with me. My bff was going over to Kuwait during operation desert storm and he wasn't saved. I had witnessed to him on more than one occasion, but he never had accepted Jesus. I was having nightmares and freaking out that he was going to die without Jesus. I couldn't eat or sleep. I went to the church and pastor Voddie was preaching. I made a bee line for him and asked him to pray for my bff. He said gently, but firmly "Let's pray for you first". As he prayed for me the anxiety and fear of my friend dying over there vanished. He then prayed with me for my friend not going over there. My friend was on the base in Texas waiting to be deployed in 2 weeks. After we prayed I felt such peace. Within a week my friend called me and stated he had to stay on the base while his troop went to Kuwait. He had developed a herniated disc and was on desk duty. Jesus is awesome!

First time I heard this I was stunned. Re listened tonight after hearing the typical incorrect low looking interpretation of Joseph’s triumphant moment. As I sat in church I realized I could never not see Voddie preaching this when hearing the usual. By the Grace of God you cannot unhear once you’ve heard and you cannot unsee once you’ve seen. It is the work of God and it is eternal.

This is absolutely one of my favorite messages Voddie speaks! You MUST also hear his message about BROKENESS! Those who did not like this message....were cut to heart...so the message did its job. May the Lord God be continually praised, and may he receive ALL THE GLORY!!!

Coming quite late in life to Christ I was recently praying for God to help me understand the Old Testament as I was struggling with it. I’d been browsing through sermons on KZbin and in the end wasn’t particularly paying attention as I was distracted with other matters. BUT Voddie’s words caught in my ears and I replayed this sermon from the start. God opened my ears and my heart to His truth. What a wonderful sermon. Thank you Father and God bless and keep Voddie. 🙏🏻

Greetings my friends! Today is the first day that I have heard these life changing messages. I'm so excited for receiving what I have been missing out on life. It feels so good to know that I can relax and learn knowing that I am being fed TRUTH. I feel my Christian walk getting ready to take me on a new journey and I am so excited beyond anything! Thank You Jesus for these mighty leaders that we need so desperately in this dark and twisted world. Peace and blessings to those who have posted such tremendous hope!! 💞🤓🙏

Rarely will I give a Pastor 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏. This is the time I must. I myself stumble on telling ppl homosexuality is wrong and moving forward I will review myself. If you love ppl then you will give them the tools to set themselves free.

AMEN! And THIS is why we need the great ❤️’s & minds to interpret the word & lead us until Jesus comes to rescue us. Again. I truly believe that w/o great pastors I couldn’t have put that together. Nowhere close to how Dr. Baucham just did no matter how many times I’ve read or will read God’s words. Thank God for a great teacher/leader we’ve received in this Dr.🙏

Amazing message explained so accurately and powerfully by Dr. Voddie! I’ve been a fan of his for 20ish years since seeing him often and sitting under his teaching at homeschool conferences. Brilliantly knowledgeable of God’s Word to the point it oozes from him! Excellent, engaging and entertaining speaker! God has been and still is working mightily through this man’s life! I’m 55 and never accurately understood the underlying message in Joseph’s story until now! I learned much, most importantly that I have quite a bit of stuff that I need to “let that stuff go!”
