VOEPASS Flight 2283 passenger plane crashes in Vinhedo, Brazil; NO SURVIVORS

A twin-engine turboprop plane, en route from Cascavel in Paraná to Guarulhos airport in São Paulo, tumbled in the town of Vinhedo, according to Voepass airline. The ATR 72-500 aircraft was carrying 57 passengers and four crew members, with no survivors reported. Footage on social media shows the plane spiraling downwards before impact. Brazil's President, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and São Paulo's Governor, Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas, expressed condolences and declared three days of mourning. The flight recorders have been recovered, and the plane's manufacturer, ATR, will assist in the investigation. The plane accident occurred in a residential area, but only one home was damaged, and no injuries were reported on the ground.
