You do such a great job reading off those prices without choking. Pretty outrageous. Glad we know how to sew.

😂 A hidden talent I didn’t know I had! The designer prices are pretty out there! Makes me extra happy that we know how to sew, and have professionally drafted patterns available to us of designer looks

I’m am so over the moon to have found this video! Thank you! I am a beginner and I love the flare/bell bottom look of the 70’s more than I can even properly express lol! Vogue V1974 is answer to my prayers! I have been looking for a good pattern for bells. But most of the ones I’ve found are just a substandard example of bells. I can’t wait to get these made. Even if it is almost a year after the posting of this video lol! I am a few decades late, but I don’t care! It’s all about how you feel that really makes a great look. Nothing looks better than confidence and a smile 😃! So happy to have found you! I will be watching more of your videos soon!🦋

I really like the last skirt you showed. I wish I could find that brush stroke fabric that was with it.
@SharonSews Жыл бұрын
Oh, that is beautiful fabric, isn’t it? If you contact the company, they may be able to tell you where they sourced the fabric. That skirt was in their fall release, so the fabric may still be available.

Vogue 1982 looks like the gorgeous dress that Melania Trump wore on the trip to London...it was yellow and a full flowing skirt.

Vogue 1991 in blue - I love this! Not sure where I would wear it but I want to get it. Vogue 1982 as well❤
@SharonSews Жыл бұрын
I love both of those patterns too! I’m tempted to purchase them even though I am unsure where I would wear them also 😀

Seeing the designer inspiration is great, thanks Sharon! But I have to comment on the short Chanel inspired jacket - what happened to the pattern matching on the back in Vogue's model! Yikes!
@SharonSews Жыл бұрын
I was wondering who would be the first to comment about that! It’s a bit distracting isn’t it? I’m surprised Vogue allowed it to be photographed 🤷🏻♀️
@ji.ol.1490 Жыл бұрын
Sharon, how would you define the difference between cloche fabric and matelassé fabric?
@SharonSews Жыл бұрын
That is a good question, and one that I would have to look up as I don’t know the answer. I was unfamiliar with the clogue fabric, and shared a description I found on a fabric store website.

These picks are great! But it's hard to navigate your description box without corresponding timestamps.

For watching and commenting. I appreciate the suggestion.

Hahaha whoops, this comment was for a video right before this in my 'watch later' that had 40 free patterns linked with no timestamps or descriptions. Please disregard! Thanks for the line up.

Wow, Vogue Patterns rips off the designers.
@ji.ol.1490 Жыл бұрын
They're not "ripping them off." They've been copying them for decades. Fashions cannot be copyrighted.
