With her Russian roots, painter Nina Koltchitskaia approaches her art, her look and her lifestyle with the same romantic philosophy. Vogue Paris visited her in her apartment overlooking the roofs of Paris which she decorated with partner Olivier Coursier, to chat Instagram, literature (with Jean Giono top of the list) and love - one of her main sources of inspiration.

It’s refreshing to see a house that doesn’t have 10 feet high ceilings. As much as I love those Parisian houses with wainscoting and tall architectural features - this one feels a bit more achievable and normal. Beautiful home with lots of personality .

@@ThePauloEmo I paint, usually oils, sorry but if you are painting and it's what you do, not just as a hobby, then you dress for it. You don't dress like you're shooting for Vogue lmao😆. This is particularly the case if you use acrylics which bond to clothing almost instantly because they're plastics. Unless you are a super neat and illustrative type rather than a fine artist.

Creativity has nothing to do with all that. Creativity is free thinking and the ability to think outside a box. That is totally irrevant if your parents are autistic in the sense of music or painting. Everyone expresses themselves on so many different ways.

La clientèle de Vogue, c'est la bourgeoisie, les annonceurs, qui sont bien souvent de l'industrie du luxe (Hermes, Chanel Louis Vuitton, Maje, Céline etc) et qui font vivre ce magazine via la publicité, ciblent la bourgeoisie, car elle consomme ce type de produit dans le but d'alimenter constamment (car ils ont les moyens) sa distinction face au peuple. Également, Vogue considère que le bon goût, les prescripteurs de tendance viennent de la bourgeoisie, donc Vogue ne s'intéresse qu'à la bourgeoisie. Le client, la cliente est reine, on la flatte, on la met sur un piédestal. Ce n'est que du business. Il ne faut pas oublier que ce genre de vidéo est destiné à la clientèle internationale, nourri aux clichés et fantasmes de "la Parisienne" chic et branchée", évoluant dans un monde merveilleux, hors-sol, qui consomme plus qu'elle ne produit. Cet exhibitionnisme d’un nouveau genre permet à celle qui se montre de recevoir de l'attention, de cultiver un sentiment d'appartenance (ici la bourgeoisie), évidemment de nourrir son ego. Ce qu'il y a de dangereux, c'est que cette vidéo peut facilement faire naître de la frustration chez certaines (celles qui n'appartiennent pas à la bourgeoisie), du type "pourquoi je n'ai pas cet appart, ce genre de fringue, ce mode de vie". Pour se débarrasser, plutôt atténuer cet état désagréable, beaucoup vont consommer, acheter les produits dont Vogue fait la réclame. Sauf que la mode change très vite, d'autres vidéos vont sortir et vous (madame tout le monde), vous allez devoir une nouvelle fois travailler dur pour combler votre frustration. C'est un cercle pernicieux.
