I hope people realize how profound the jump drive on this ship is. I have never seen anyone else depict a interstellar drive that pushes a ship out of phase in such a way then travel to another star. its insane. I know that we obviously haven't developed such tech yet, but the way this has been animated really fits what you should experience when entering a different layer of space time. Were the only things observable are the ripples of other strong gravity wells.

@@mariusjacobs83it warps to different gravity wells in seemingly the 4th dimension, where you can go forward and back in time. Think of the tesseract scene in interstellar. Self-similar space is seemingly the 4th dimension as it’s established that unlike future ships the Tiqqun is only able to travel through self-similar space using coordinates given to it. This likely means the Tiqqun was planned all along to travel forward in time, which is possible in the 4th dimension as the 4th dimension is time. This raises a lot of questions that aren’t answered by the game’s story. Vanir Dolos admits the lunaclysm was inevitable in his final message to the Tiqqun, which make me think he planned for the Tiqqun not only to leave at the exact time of the lunaclysm (which imo wasn’t caused by Dolos or the Tiqqun but likely a natural event in space as Moons can implode, it’s just very unlikely and requires massive gravitational forces like with Io or Encelydous which violently react to their elliptical orbits with their respective gas giants) but also to arrive forward in time to Earth several hundred years in the future to follow the bread trail left behind specifically for the Tiqqun long after Humanity has basically gone extinct except for those kept on ice.

The music is amazing , sure. But the thing that caught my eye the most is the warping animation, it's really fascinating, unlike what i've ever seen before compared to other titles. In others, warping, it's just only going into a straight line with a huge FOV and some minor effects. i'm glad ixion doesn't follow the same thing, really love the uniqueness of the animation, plus it is strangely realistic to some degree.

@@mariusjacobs83 The lights aren't stars. They're just valid Vohle jump exits. They can be anywhere, and quite possibly any time. It's implied that when you do a Vohle jump you're entering a fractal of the space around you, a "self-similar spacetime", as they put it. If you know the way, you can get where you want to go along a shorter path than light would normally take, thus going "faster" than light. If you don't know the way, you exit the jump in the far future and blow up the moon behind you. It's a work-in-progress.
