They are incredible live! I got to see them in a small club in Oakland, CA and sadly the place was half empty. Though they blew me away regardless of the lack of crowd. They did a killer version of the Beastie Boys' "Sabotage." They are all amazing musicians, but yes, the bass player is a stand-out. I recorded a couple videos that I'll post soon.

Thank you Mike for a great first time reaction to VOB. This is a band that has great future ahead of them. VOB together with the Warning are 2 of my favourite band, so please continue to do more reactions of them. However, if you would like some suggestions to other bands that you would like then head east to Japan. Japan at present has a plethora of great bands with an outstanding level of musicianship ( some of the worlds greatest Bassist included). Here is list of bands that you might want try out - BandMaid (rock/heavy rock band - start with live performance of Domination), Nemophila (metal core - Adabana), Lovebites (power metal, thrash and speed metal - start with Hammer of Wrath form knocking at heaven's gate (features there new amazing Bassist Fami - has her solo channel too - check out her cover of Alien, Alien), Hanabie (metalcore, hardcore punk, and nu metal, with a blend of hip hop, electronica and J-pop) - We Love Sweets is the track that must people start with, Asterism (instrumental heavy metal band - although they do have there guitarist Hal- Cal singing on some of there latest tracks - Miyu is an amazing bassist, start with live performance of Dawn). There are plenty of others that I could mention but these will keep you occupied.

Great reaction!! I knew you would just love it, especially the tempo changes and that bass! This was the first VOB song I heard but I saw their live performance video from Wacken - you really are gonna love it, its grittier and raw and high energy. VOB is another example of women bringing new energy into rock and into metal like The Warning, Lovebites, BandMaid, Plush, and many more. So very glad you've gotten to discover VOB, I found them through The Warning Army and was so thrilled!

"God, Allow Me (Please) to Play Music". This single came after the personnel consisting of three veiled women experienced a bit of intolerance in the environment. Criticism and stigma came and went from all directions and almost made them want to give up on the music scene in 2016. "The more we try to avoid criticism, distanced himself, it became even more vicious, it provoked us to fight even more outspokenly," VoB vocalist and guitarist Firdda "Marsya" Kurnia said in an official statement. "We want people listening to this song to be more tolerant of other people. God does not belong to just one person or a group of people," said Marsya. "So, everyone has the right to creation, and the responsibility for their creation is given by God," Marsya continued. Voice of Baceprot (VoB) is one of the Indonesian metal band groups that speak out loud about social issues. Marsya, the vocalist, revealed that the songs were explored from everyday experiences to reading references.
