One of the best VA of all time. He went out with a bang as Deathstroke (best voice next to Ron). Also, he was very menacing as Shan Yu & Vandal Savage. RIP Sir.

The late *Miguel Ferrer* lost his battle with throat cancer on January 19th 2017, the date he was cast as Deathstroke in *Teen Titans: The Judas Contract*, his final VA role. You may know him from live-action films and TV like, RoboCop, Star Trek 3, Twin Peaks, Crossing Jordan, Blank Check, Iron Man 3, NCIS LA and more. You may also know him as a cousin to George Clooney and good friends to Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher (He helped her rehearse lines for Star Wars, the movie that shaped her) and Peter David, comic writer who co-created Spider-Man 2099 (Who inspired his true name of Miguel O'Hara) He truly was "One badass motherfucker!" RIP.

Thanks for doing this man. He really became one of my favorites over the years especially after he voiced Vandal Savage. This was always a pipe dream, but I wonder what it would have been like if Miguel had been the dub voice for Admiral Akainu from one of my favorite anime's, One Piece? I think his voice would have fit the character very well. He might have given the great Fumihiko Tachiki a challenge.

I won't lie. When I heard of his passing, I was beside myself. I cried in the shower. I don't even know why. "Of all the celebrities that have passed in a year and a half, why Miguel Ferrer?" I thought. "He's pretty under the radar and it wasn't like he was my favorite actor." Well, I think I know why, now. I've always had a spot for c-list actors, and I had such fawn memories of his voice portrayal of The Heretic Leader from Halo 2, one of my favorite games. I guess, for me, it was just so unexpected, and coupled with all the points that I brought up, I guess it just ate me up inside. Plus, I think his death is largely looked over because of bigger-named actors. I plan to draw a picture in his honor. R.I.P Miguel. I miss you. :'(

Not having him voice the mute Death in Adventure Time Distant Lands "Together Again" really hurt, that whole series final was a real tear-jerker for so many reasons. Edit: I wasn't aware of his role as Vandal Savage but he did an incredible job with those two roles alone. Vandal Savage in Young Justice is an antagonist that Miguel made into a great cold and calculating supervillain that makes you want to quiet down and listen to his speech whenever he talks about his goals and plans. And with Death in Adventure Time, his voice had an intimidating quality to it despite Death being a relatively good guy (if you ignore that time he was prepared to kill a candy kid to get a mixtape.) he made Death into the second most memorable characters for me only behind Mr. Fox and the Lich.
