He actually is a musicians musician. His voice is so raspy, so beautiful, so springsteen like, full of emotions.

When Henk heard from Tim that he was going to do this song, he told the story of his stepfather dying in his arms and how when he performed it onstage he would look up at the "Exit" signs. Every face held back tears... Then Tim sang... There wasn't a dry eye on the sofa. I'm crying just typing this. This performance in a word..."Mooi" ("Beautiful").

While I know the song well, and have seen Les Mis on stage three times, I don't know the language he's singing in. Didn't matter. Had me crying from start to finish. BEAUTIFUL! BEAUTIFUL! BEAUTIFUL! And yet someone did a thumbs down. Can't imagine---don't want to imagine---what can be going through that persons mind. This was SPLENDID! And thank you for reacting to it. Best wishes. Billy J

Tim did a fantastic job! I think one should not compare this with the great Colm Wilkinson cause he is a league of his own. But Tim made the song his own and made his own rocky rendition of it. I am English, and really enjoy the Dutch and Belgian singers. Have Niels Destadsbader and Tino Martin on my playlists, not to mention Tim Akkerman and Henk Poort. Don't understand the words totally, but love the emotion and feeling they give👍

Are you sure you're not Dutch Valerie? hehehe You are just as addicted to this show, as many of us are :D Tim did an amazing job with this song, as we Dutch would say "Dit gaat door merg en been" (dual meaning, can be positive, like in this case, or negative when its like chalk on a chalkboard) or, in English "this pierces the soul". Its a very beautiful song, very difficult like you already said, and he did bring us all the emotions that come with this song, in his own style. Ty for the upload Valerie :D

I feel that this was Tim's best performance on the show. I totally understand you needing to warmup to his voice. I felt the same way. I think he had his ups and downs in this show. This was definitely an up!

I also had to warm up to Tim, and I'm still not really there yet. In all honesty, his pronunciation of the words is bad, I'm Dutch and I'm not familiar with the text and I can't really understand it. 🤔 I totally appreciate his vocal performance, it is beautifully done but it's clearly a bit uncomfortable to him.
