I think it has something to do with Chase’s love of Rock music. I’m a big Rock and Metal fan myself, but I was also a huge *NSYNC fan. 127’s singles are often quite…aggressive, for lack of a better term. It’s why I love them so much, and am less impressed by other, more popular and more “pop-y” sounding groups.

"they really shine. singing together" 127 has some of the best harmonies in kpop honestly like sm groups such as shinee and exo shine really hard in that area as well. they really are like a choir and they all have really good ears for music because they can find those harmonies at the drop of a hot so it's always fun to listen to them randomly start singing together because they'll make it work every time. i'm excited for any deep dives you'll do on taeil's voice, even the members admit that taeil is the backbone of their vocals and stability.

1:06 The Moon Taeil appreciation, I thank you. The man can blow... his skills/musicianship is ridiculous. The label hounded him nonstop because he kept turning them down. He decided to go to University and they still pushed to get him then he finally caved. What a blessing to have his voice shared with the world. I can barely walk and talk on the phone but this man is pushing air like Niagara Falls. So many great voices in NCT (23 members) and this is just one unit. Moon Taeil is the main vocalist and the oldest of nct 127, and nct as a whole (born in ‘94). Fun fact he was actually accepted into Hanyang University’s practical music program (the school is ranked 6th in all of Korea and has a 4% acceptance rate), but dropped out to become a trainee and later debut in NCT. 🤗🙌🏾

NCT in general absolutely shines when they blend together! They have amazing voices individually of course and I enjoy their solo stuff as well. They are so well trained and have singers like Taeil (in the tan collar shirt) is so exceptional skilled he makes so many things look easy, Doyoung (in the black leather jacket) is so full and clear and brings so much emotion, and Haechan (with the pink hair) knows exactly how to use his voice and it's unmistakable and I could go on and on. (I love how you brought up efficiency. It's so underrated but so essential to do what you love for a long time and without pain. I once heard a dancer also praise Haechan for his dance efficiency too) And those three have very impressive main parts in the song that others have requested: From Home live at MAMA in 2020. I hope you see it! But thank you for pointing out that each different style and colour of voice adds to the group and the whole range is important. I especially love when two or three of them will share a line in different combinations; often quite different voices come together to make such a wonderful mixture. And I would also add my vote to you checking out EXO soon. They are simply stunning with some of the most iconic songs and vocals in the industry. They are also from SM and one thing that SM prides itself on is having excellently trained performers. And even after 10 years EXO members still take vocal lessons and improve year to year. Their live performances are unforgettable and the Acoustic medley they did as part of their ExorDium Tour is a great example. It's very relaxed so it's not the full extent of their range but it's a great start. Many thanks for another fun video!

I love nct 127 for all their individual colours, while as u said, being amazing at singing together :D Jaehyun(guy on far right) has a deeper, very soulful voice, taeil(tan collar!!) is a vocal powerhouse, doyoung’s voice(leather jacket) packs so much emotion and has a beautiful breathy quality to it, and haechan(pink hair) has a honey like smooth voice that makes every line shine. Taeil does this thing where he kinda holds his diaphragm the entire time he was recording. The song itself is quite hard i guess, a LOT of technique is put into every lines. The vocalists are often underrated so thank you for acknowledging them. 2. The man you’re simping for is Moon Taeil. He is one of four main vocalists in NCT 127 (others: Kim Doyoung, Lee Haechan, Jeong Jaehyun). Taeil is not the leader but he is the oldest and oftentimes has the most lines in their music. 3. Thank you for appreciating and loving Doyoung (black leather jacket)’s airy smooth vocal as he is the truly underrated main vocalist who makes the NCT songs usually with his killing harmony “in the background”…yet when required he steps forward and easily belt his voice in many other tracks which I hope you will check out (as another commenter said, it’s a pleasant finding that you guys can jam immediately to these kings of their well known trademark “experimental music”, whilst many fans whose ears are already used to their weirdly addictive compositions always require many listens every album release, before able to understand and follow the melody/beat/song structure). Thank you also for appreciating Taeil’s voice. He is as other group members shared, a singer who could just wake up and start singing effortlessly and therefore, have the truly God’s given talent of being an artist. And as needed to always be pointed out which you correctly had done so: everyone’s color is different one from the other there is no such thing as one is “the best” or better than the other. I hope you will take interest in diving further into their catalog that will show more of Haechan (beautiful addictive nasal pink hair vocalist) as well as Yuta and Johnny (two other truly underrated members with very attractive vocal colors which are not shown much in this segment) and each of the other member’s very unique individual tone. Noooo because I've been thinking what makes me so obsessed with groups from sm entertainment, and I finally remember what it is !! 😭 It's when their song's chorus feels so "full" because they either have the whole group SINGING together or 2-3 members in it !
