2001 World Series Mr November game 4, was by far the greatest game I ever seen live at the old stadium. Tino Martinez tied it in the 9th and when he hit that homer I swear the whole stadium shook. Then Jeter walked it off. What made this even more memorable for me, I was sitting in the bleachers and there was a family in front of us who had lost a loved one the day of 9/11. There was a boy with his mom and he was in tears most of the night. if you all can remember that game was over for the Yanks until that 9th inning. When Tino hit that homer that kid was jumping up and down with pure joy. People were giving him high 5s and at least for that moment he didn’t think about what had happened to him and his family. That made me feel that things were going to be ok as well. What a game that was.

First of all incredible idea of using Clay Holmes up to save the bullpen. We all should give Gleyber Torres a little love don’t forget, he carried his team the second half of last year. And in my opinion, it was all in his head, then finally decided to sit him. I guess it woke something up in him because he has the skills. If I was him, I would work on one thing he hast to get rid of the ball quicker as we all know. He holds onto the ball for a split second longer than he hast to and with the challenges it cost outs. I would offer him if he’s continues to play well a one year contract at a reduced rate. If he wants to be a Yankee, he’ll take it. He probably won’t, but I believe it’s been all between his ears.

I would certainly hope that Weaver is our closer going forward. Perhaps Boone will make the 'annointment' soon. Losing Cousins is tough, but Hill and Hamilton seem like solid set-up men. Side note- I didn't realize that Luke Weaver was 31 yrs old. He looks more like 21! 😅 It's all good. We're fortunate to have 'Cool Hand Luke' saving games! Ty, Derek! Go, Yankees!

Soto's attitude of wanting to play every day rubs off on the other players. And I have to give credit to Gleyber Torres for that, as well. As much as I don't really like Gleyber Torres, he plays EVERY day and never goes on the IL.

I like your idea for Holmes. Use him in the Pittsburg series after they clinch. He's been giving up frozen ropes all year, even when he was pitching "good". If he can figure out what's wrong we can use him. But right now - he's batting practice but he walks people too.

I think Soto and the yankees get a deal done. Going to the padres probably made him realize that clubhouse chemistry is a big deal. They didn't have it there but they have it here. He is a big part of it too. I've kind of been critical of judges leadership style because I feel like he should be a little more confrontational at times. But the truth is even if he isn't the he is welcoming to the guys who come here no matter who they are. In today's game that means alot.

At least if the Yankees can win 3 out of 6…you have the number 1 seeding throughout the AL. Now being more aggressive hopefully they can keep winning to get it even to the World Series where hopefully we can make it. Have better records than the dodgers. The Yankees will have plenty of rest after the regular season. Go for it hard.

There is no way the Yankees let Soto leave in FA!! I know everyone says that the Mets are going to outbid the Yankees blah blah but I don't think Soto cares only about money he wants to win! I just don't see how the Mets give him the best chance to win! Yankees give more than just winning they give him Judge, give him a winning culture, and the notoriety that comes with being a Yankee. Also how can the Mets sell the team to Soto when they aren't necessarily going to pay Alonso what does that say about loyalty Alonso is considered by many to be the face of the Mets. What kind of look is that! I'm not sold Soto to the Yankees 10 years 575 million!

Yanks had a good year almost can say great year. But, there style of play has me wondering why the team has such boring games. Teams with less wins seem more exciting. Is it Boone>?? Is the style of play Cashman wants? Yanks have had 20 maybe 25 exciting games to date. The rest were typical ho hum snooze fests. No steals, no extra bases on a hit to the outfield, no 6 or 7 player offensive attacks in an inning. Just love the wins dislike the boring style of play. Judges HR's seem routine even he isn't excited about them it seems.SMH. Lose Boone the team will exhibit more excitement IMO.

I agree that the Yankees are not going to fire Aaron Boone and it’s the same reason they won’t get rid of Cashman. Hal does not care about winning like his dad did. If I was the manager for the Yankees I would also have a winning team 😭 Aaron Boone is a clown brother. He has no backbone and lets players run the club. It’s not hard to win when you have the highest payroll. With Aaron Judge and Juan Soto carrying your squad. All Aaron Boone does is let them play, anytime they are struggling he does not fire them up either. Aaron Boone reminds me of that one boss everyone loves but anytime crap hits the fan no one has his back because they have all became lazy.
