I firmly believe that J None's voice has matured during his time with the Navy Northwest Band.

Geoff just has more talent than anyone should be allowed to have. He says that when he does an arrangement 1. Don't make an a cappella copy of the original. CHECK. 2. Write for the voices you have. BIG CHECK. 3. Create "moments". CHECK, CHECK, CHECK, CHECK, CHECK, AND HUGE CHECK!

Geoff's arrangements just keep getting better and better. I know nothing about metal but I watched Metallica's video for this. It's a great cover, even in the same key.

That was what was the guitar solo towards the end of the original. Geoff wrote a guitar solo for Layne, then asked if he'd do it via violin - so we got VioLayne! Yeah!

Thank you for another priceless reaction to Voice Play. Your reactions say it all. The violin playing represents the guitar solo at the end of the original. Voice Play puts so much feeling into their songs. Many have done a cover of this song but no one comes close to the feeling of the lyrics like Voice Play does. Please do a reaction video of Geoff Castallucci's solo cover ( Till Then ). His wife Kathy is the woman who puts the note on the piano as he plays & leads him off at the end.

Had to come back and listen again after enjoying your reaction so much the first time. 5, then 1. 5 is how many times you said, "WHAT?" after Layne stunned you (and us). After the violin section, when they ramp down, and J None 's croons, 1 is the number of times you shuddered (I'm guessing maybe chills as well). Glad I watched again! 😄

Great reaction, it's a fantastic cover and the bass tones are phenomenal. Though I have to say, as far as A Capella covers go, Julia Westlin's is still my favourite.
@gregorybogart5200 Жыл бұрын
I will have to respectfully disagree. I went to listen to her version. Yes, her voice is beautiful! But her version is all one volume throughout. I think Eli could easily outperform her through the changes is the texture and timbre of his voice. She's a close second.
@tareskisloki8579 Жыл бұрын
@@gregorybogart5200 I guess favourite is a subjective thing, I just prefer the mood of hers. Eli is incredibly talented though, I won't argue with you on that.

@@TauriReacts with all respect that's my impression. their version lacks the tension you find in the original song. for example eivørs version of hounds of love by kate bush is as powerful as the original and still something different
