Geoff here apparently plays a shape shifter from the film, hence the changes in costume. Layne sings in a number of videos, notably ones where the vocal percussion isnt needed: Can't Help Falling in Love, True Colours, also in If I Were a Rich Man, and My Mother Told Me. He Has a good singing voice. It was Layne's arrangement and he always challenges Geoff to go above and beyond, or below, and Geoff always obliges. :) To hear more of Ashley Diane with VoicePlay you need to see If I Were a Rich Man/Girl. Cesare is Puerto Rican so the Latin voice is natural. Ashely is Latina also. The blouse! Who wore it better? Geoff or Ashley. Ashely goes much higher in VoicePlay's cover of " If I Were A Rich Man/Girl"

They saved our eyes by not showing what he was wearing on his feet in that shot. My granddaughter said it was a fashion felony. LOL

Yup. Cesar has put on some weight. He has a wonderful tone and range. You should watch him in VP's outstanding version of the Aerosmith's iconic rock song Dream On where he sang high tenor to match Omar Cardonna to hit the classic high notes at the end that Steven Tyler made the hallmark of the song. Geoff is a blouse and pink shorts while singing bass is just classic! Layne loves taking on weird characters. He sang the song of the crazy palace chef in their Little Mermaid Medley. It was hysterical. He and Geoff have been friends since they were kids and he likes trying to crack him up during the filming. This was just plain fun.

He has padding. Cesar is from Puerto Rico and Ashley Diane is also a native Spanish speaker. I just love what they made of this. VoicePlay has done Fiddler on the Roof with Ashley Diane (same singers as here). Layne was doing a short last week The Lion Sleeps Tonight w/ J None. He and the guys were having so much fun they turned it into a regular length but still in the mini profile. It is a delight and I do recommend it!.

I'm reasonably sure Cesar's just got padding on to look a bit more 'rounded.' His face and wrists are still as slim as before - it's only around the gut area, which doesn't tend to happen when you put on actual weight for real. And yeah, he's brilliant in this - in fact, he's been a perfect addition to Voiceplay right from the start, and just keeps getting better and better with each new video.

It’s a great movie. Terrific moral and outstanding music. Just for background, the family has magical powers. Bruno is the prophet and of course no one likes what he has to say and so he’s become an outcast. Isabella is the perfect golden child. Mirabel (wearing glasses) is the main character and she’s the only one who did not receive magical powers. It is her inquiries into Bruno that starts the main story and also why the song is being sung. Ashley plays both of those characters as well as Pepa who got married in a Hurricane. Cesar and Eli sing parts of other members of the family. Layne does Dolores who can hear a pin drop and because she has such acute hearing whispers everything and that’s the feeling that he’s getting when he’s doing his a little rap. Geoff is playing Camilo the Shapeshifter. He wore a poncho in the movie. He is one who likes to embellish his tales so Bruno ends up sounding much worse than he actually is. So when Geoff is portraying Bruno, that is the way Camilo portrayed him. And later he shifts into Isabella to finish the rest of the lines that Ashley started This is why he’s dressed the way he is and why he flips his hair in the gently wafting breeze. (The portion with the rose petals had to be filmed with everything going double speed so that when they slowed it down for the video the rose petals would be floating by rather than just blasting into their faces which is what really was happening💨🌸To get the petals to move fast enough so they didn’t drop to the ground and also to get Ashley’s hair to flow like that they actually had to use not only a fan but a leaf blower!) Update: I posted the above before I watched your reaction as it talked about the movie and setting the scene. But I have to agree with the others, the weight comment was totally inappropriate. Perhaps as a fitness coach, because I did read your response, you already have a bias about weight. What if he needed cortisone for health reasons? That is known to put on weight. Unlike height, weight can be affected by any number of things including health issues. I have a family member who suddenly “put on weight”. Unknown to many people who made a similar comment, she was the recent recipient of a kidney transplant. The medication she takes make her put on weight. A good friend with Crohn’s disease must take drugs that make him put on weight or he will die. He was skinny as can be when I met him, but looks completely differently now. Even if that were the case there are people who are no heavier than Cesar appears to be who are perfectly healthy. As someone who is monitoring fitness you should realize this. You have no right, absolutely none, to make a personal comment like that. I’ve only gotten that far and it’s really hard for me to continue because I’m very disappointed. You can justify it all you want to yourself. But what is next? Are you going to comment on someone’s skin conditions? Or Will Smith’s wife who has alopecia? As a reactor, who puts their comments out there for the public you do have responsibilities. Today you didn’t meet those responsibilities.

Hi Huldra! Appreciate the support! My comment on his weight is not with negative intensions though. I'm not judging him on that, It's just something I noticed. Weight gain shouldn't always be precieved as something bad, I think. Also, seeing that they chose to give both Cesar and Eli a line about a belly and bald head respectivily, it seems they're pretty self-aware and don't mind using this as a couple of funny moments in their video. I hope you get my point.😊

@@YBPlaysMusic Weather it is gained weight or lost weight is not the point. A lot of people are conscious about their weight and comments like that can really hurt. You commented on weight long before the belly line. It is just not necessary to point out weight of other people. That's their business, not ours. It has nothing to do with the artist's vocals, their performance or their artistry. Weather you meant it negatively or not, jokingly or not, the person you are talking about or young people with self esteem issues who watch their idols get comments of weight gain, can perceive it as negative. Weight is a very sensitive matter for many people, it's just something you should be aware of before making comments like that.

His hands aren't just holding his jacket back, they're pushing at the sides/back of his waist to increase the tilt and push forward any extra flesh available. And his stomach STILL looks flat. If there were a way to post a still pic here, I would. He's created an illusion and we "see" what he tells us to see for just an instant, then he pulls his jacket around himself and the moment is gone.
