I heartily agree! I wanted it canceled after the first Season but with all the side content these Terrible shows produce, it may be worth it to keep their landfill growing. I would even be okay with the Acolyte coming back for the same reasons! So our good friend Charlie never runs out of content!

It almost works, though. Earlier this season Nori and Gandalf say they are looking for what they call a "Gand." Which is weird unless you know a gand is a traditional name for a staff. It's also probably where "wand" came from (warranty/guarranty, warden/guardian). So when they call him "Grand-Elf" it was probably just "Elf" originally and then the writers realized the audience wouldn't be following their wordplay that closely. So "Elf with a walking stick" became "big/old elf" instead. Edit: Huh. I looked it up and.... I was right, gandalf literally came from Wand Elf and Tolkien was being funny. A gand is also a walking stick or a staff though, so he probably knew that too as an English professor.

Right? It's like.. if you hear goofy singing off in the distance coming towards your house, you get a chill like your heart's been plunged in ice, and all you can do is lock your doors, hope it doesn't crawl all over the outside of your house in an attempt to find a way in and if it does.. all you can do is try to ignore its presence and pray it goes away before it stuffs you full of weird jams and small fish and makes you sing. I mean, that's how I'd treat him, anyway. 🤷🏻‍♀

Me too! Always hated the Bombadil character in the books. Felt like it was a huge anchor on the pacing of the story. It's like a video game: your character shouldn't meet a god-like entity in the first act. Should have been much later added in, or preferably, not at all...

@@cameronhodgetts920 I've most likely read more of Tolkien's writings than you. I'm saying it's very likely that the show directors don't know about that at all. Therefore saying it's represented in the show isn't actually true. Besides that, you only need to have read the LOTR books to know that as it's written there. Additionally, however, when Sauron was "good" was thousands upon thousands of years before the second age. In fact it's even before the first age, before the firstcomers (the elves). It was during a time when on Earth were only the Gods and Yavanna had put the animals in an enchanted sleep until the sun and the moon were made. So stop defending this bullshit show. It's done literally NOTHING right.
