Same. I watched one of Adam's playthroughs on Meinl's channel, checked out the band, and been a fan since. So many unexpected and downright weird combinations of sounds and genres that almost seem like they shouldn't work, but somehow they do. It's something special to be able to write a song that's both heavy and pretty.

Cerebral brain blankets ... um core Love this album. I've been thinking about how to describe it myself
@gregoryl.levitre97594 жыл бұрын
The core of the appeal of Vola to me as a Composer is that they draw from what worked before and combine it with what works now in a perfectly balanced formula. They know when it's time to focus on melody and when it's time to amp up the complexity level. I only know of one other band that accomplishes that to a significant degree and they're another of my favorite bands: The Contortionist.

I could see this song being "the one" to finally blow them up worldwide. It's short, easily digestible, and catchy, which means it could be played on pretty much any radio station. I hear stuff played on U.S. stations that is similar to this but most of it is simplistic crap. I would LOVE for this song to make VOLA a hit in America, because then they could get the funding to actually play here.
