We never put boundaries on our songwriting but merely search for a direction that feels unexplored and exciting to us. With Paper Wolf, we suddenly found ourselves in a territory where an old-school metal atmosphere crept into our blend of sounds. We liked what we heard and then ran with it at full speed. I remember chatting with the guys after an amazing gig they did in Milan last September and upon asking Asger when he thought they would release the new album he told me: "hopefully by the end of next year" - ergo 2023. Now I don't care when they'll actually release the record, as long as we get new beautiful music to cherish. Love this band for eternity.

These guys are like wine or whiskey. They are getting better with age. It's refreshing to hear a band that incorporates old sounds and techniques with a completely new sound and style. So many bands these days sound exactly like someone from the past. You know when you hear VOLA. Very original.

I've listened to this probably twenty times since you guys dropped it. I don't know exactly why or how, but on the latest listen, I started tearing up. I've been having a really rough time these days, and there is something innate in this composition that hits me so hard in my feels that I can't even consciously identify what is it. Thank you guys for doing what you do. As a two year in a row top 0.01% listener on Spotify, I don't think it's possible for me to explain how much your music means to me. Sincerely, with all my heart, thank you.

Okay, but can we just take a moment to appreciate the amazing work that is being done by Martin on this track, because god damn the synth is absolutely beautiful! To no surprise, VOLA drops yet another banger. This will for sure be on repeat for me.
@foealike4933 Жыл бұрын
Martin deserves a lot in every single track. I really love this mixture of old Genesis sounds and areas, combined with something you may find in Euro-Pop and even Techno. And he's a great piano-player as well. So he's for sure a lot more than just "the keys and synths". When Nicolai is the glue for all, Martin is the topping 👌
@gregoryl.levitre9759 Жыл бұрын
I think Nicolai's talent lies in his seemingly magical ability to create an amazing atmosphere that I want to exist in forever and his also seemingly magical ability to highlight the more interesting notes in the vocal melodies.
