I discovered them I'd say about a year ago , by chance. I'm hooked. Seen they were at Anaheim, California... Grew up 2 blocks from there , till I left Cali to come to Oregon. I bet it was amazing. I love everything about them.. I must of been living under a rock... Lol.. but seriously, I'm from a generation of Judas priest, AC/DC. So when I say I'm highly critical, which I know is totally my loss a lot of the time , I've missed out on a lot... But out of my family with the exception of my son, I've broadened my horizons exploring!! It's paid off in gold. My son is the musical talent in our family. We literally live thru him vicariously... He is a self taught musician. He went to Portland and ended up trying out for the old spellcaster band from there. They needed a lead vocalist. He went and killed it . Renamed silver Talon. They have a demo , then may of 2022, the 28th. They dropped Decadence and Decay. Toured last month. I know pulling out the baby pictures. But my point is that variety is the spice of life. And Volbeat is my cayenne pepper 🌶️. Thanks for allowing me to bore u with this. Does any one k ow when or where Volbeat will be In the California or Oregon area anytime in the future!?

I saw them with Ghost this last Tuesday in Phoenix and they KILLED it. They were just SO good. I took my friend Stephanie who never heard them before and purposefully didn't listen to them beforehand because she wanted to be surprised. Lasses Birgitta (died 1550) was an alleged Swedish witch. She was the first woman executed for sorcery in Sweden.[1] In April 1550, Lasses Birgitta, which means "Birgitta, Wife of Lasse", from Algutsrum in Öland, confessed to the bailiff and the secretary on Kalmar Castle that she had tried to awaken a dead man in Kastlösa cemetery at midnight. One night, Birgitta and two men had entered the church yard with the intent of awakening one of the dead by magic. Birgitta had passed the place in a circle three times and then blew through the keyhole of the church until it opened. She had tried to get a hold of the stole, but did not find it and had to leave, after which she locked the door the same way she entered it. After another attempt on a different occasion, she had succeeded in getting the stole, passed the church three times against the sun, renounced God and swore herself to the Devil. The court judged Birgitta as guilty of sorcery and sentenced her to death by decapitation. The men who accompanied her were given a fine. After the trial of Birgitta, the Swedish witch hunt remained more or less inactive until the 1590s, and the real witch hysteria was not to break loose until 1668.
