awesome setup just a quick one, any rub to the front or rear?

Thanks! Fenders need to be shaved, or it would rub in the front pretty bad. With my fenders shaved the front will rub only under full load.

@@TheBTRGarage Thanks for your quick reply. I had ordered the CE28N plus 18x9.5 et 41 eta Dec 24. Otherwise, I am running hks hypermax s and hope the front camber plate will solve the frt rubbing and the planning to get the cusco rlca and ruca to adjust the rear camber. Keep you posted if it works later 😃

Why did you opt for the SPL vs something cheaper like SPC?
@TheBTRGarage Жыл бұрын
I wanted the fancy part and to a lesser extent, threaded adjustment vs eccentric. That said, I'm not sure it is even worth spending the $ on the SPL part. I had the SPC arms on both my BRZ and FRS and they were just fine.

Hey Justin. You are the perfect person to ask. I have been having problems with my GR86. I have two set of tires, one is the OEM wheels/tires, the other set is the 17" Kosei wheels/wider tires. I purchased an additional TPMS sensor set(4) for my track tires(second set). Everything working good so far but 2-3 days after switching tires my TPMS read out wouldn't read. I took my car several times to discount tires to get the TPMS reset and it works just fine until I switch tires . In summary, it works OK as long as I don't switch tires but when I switch tires it stops working after a couple of days. What is your solution for when you go to the track and switch tires? I read somewhere on the forums that the GR86 TPMS can learn up to two set of tires(supposedly), intended for summer and winter tires, etc.
@TheBTRGarage Жыл бұрын
Where are the other tires with TPMS sensors located, are they near where you park the car? The reset button is in the glove box, if you didn't already know. I do not know how to program 2 sets of sensors, I don't put sensors in my aftermarket wheels. So, the TPMS light will come on occasionally, but since my OEM wheels with the sensors are in my garage the car usually picks those up.

looks very nice! but with that much grip you are going to have a lot of G force on the track. Did you test your baffle plate??

Did you weigh the arms? Just wondering how much weight is saved.
@TheBTRGarage Жыл бұрын
No, unfortunately. In hindsight I should have...the OEM ones are pretty light, so it's probably only a small weight savings.

Did the levels of NVH increase too much? Would you say that the car could still be a daily car or not anymore?
@TheBTRGarage Жыл бұрын
No not much at all. The RE71RS is a loud tire, it makes more road noise than some others. That's about it. I still daily drive it and it's comfortable.

I want to run a wheel spec like yours, do I have to get those rear lower control arms? Also would I be able to clear the front if I just use camber bolts?
@TheBTRGarage6 ай бұрын
@slowfe1 For a 9.5" wide wheel, yes I would do all the things I did, including fender shaving. These wheels/tires won't fit with less front camber (only camber bolts), the rear might fit without the LCA's, but you'd need fender shaving.

@@TheBTRGarage what if I was to run a 18x8 +38 with a 225/40 or 235/40 with the eibach springs? Do I still need to do any modifications to the suspension besides springs and camber bolts?
