I used this car, daily used almost 90k miles now, no issues, great handling and its only 1.2cc but very fast actually. Last model for beetle, no more production. I proud of this card, value for money and handsome car.

@@fyzallyfe2210 earlier models like 2014 ones have some issues with the coil pack and the spark plugs. After getting all that fixed and stuff the car works wonderfully no problems after that so far

Great drive and review of the 1.2T Beetle sir, and thanks again as I've been waiting for this type of review on the Beetle. I appreciate your neutral and unbiased comments on this little car, and done professionally unlike some reviewers who review cars with a biased stand even before they really drive the car thoroughly. As for the high pricing of this car, I believe money are spent on its independent suspension system and that 7speed DSG gearbox. I believe the car feels safe and comfortable to drive, which was it's initial focus from the very beginning of development of this car. Keep up the good work and thanks again! 😊👍

I have done the Genting climb two times with the VW Beetle - one solo and another with one passenger. I don’t see any difference on the torque with extra weight. It was seamless and kept well in the corners. Great car but its a wild animal masquerading as a house pet. People should be careful and don’t assume that it will behave.

Hahaha, I had to wstch the video to see what you meant, but honestly, I was driving relaxedly. Perhaps it was the wider angle lens that made it look fast. This video was done 3 years ago, and since then I have adopted a narrow lens angle to make it look like natural speed.

May I ask if you feel 2014 vs 2019 Beetle 1.2 tsi turbo would make any difference apart from the year difference. Any upgrades made by VW for example? I am planning to purchase a used version but the years of make available just confuses me more. 2019 version is almost double the price.

Any one should be okay. Not much difference in specs, maybe only rims are different. Go for it.

It depends on what you want. The beetle is iconuc and there wont be any more made. It is a keeper. The Jazz is a very practical vehicle.

The issues have all be resolved. There is an older one, with the 2.0 litre engine, non turbo. That is with the older shape. Then there is this last generation - with the 1.4 and 1.2 engine. This is the best one, and so if you can find one, get it and treasure it, because it's never going to happen again.

The Beetle is more for others to see you. The Civic is a more practical vehicle, and is more powerful, if you buy the Turbo version.

It's nice to see you driving cars up and down Genting in the pro way. However, I feel that you have somehow over-sped in the video. If so, i think you may want to obey the speed limit just to be safe to yourself and others.

It has good consumption, but of course it depends on how you drive. Turbo engines drink a bit more if driven hard, because then the really deliver power. Driven normally, it should be quite decent.

@@YSKhongDriving I wish I could haha. A friend of mine did. Was ferried in his VW Beetle Club Edition from KL to JB. Very planted and well insulated car. Despite it being a 1.2 TSI, it could easily out perform my 2.0 Camry. Also, I noticed the windshield was thicker than ordinary cars I think as I couldn't really hear much of the heavy downpour.
