This is the evolution of the Volkswagen Beetle from 1945 to 2023! The Volkswagen Beetle is one of the most iconic and popular cars in history, and the history and evolution of the Beetle is an important one. The first Volkswagen Beetle was built by Ferdinand Porsche at the request of Adolf Hitler since the 1930s, the 2000 Volkswagen Beetle being the one that ends the era of the old Beetle. In this video, we will show you how the design, technology and performance of the Beetle changed over the decades and how the Beetle became a symbol of the hippie movement and pop culture, and how it was relaunched as the New Beetle in 1998.

I‘ve had 2 Beetles (coincidentally, both blue); a 2001 (unreliable garbage), and a 1975 Super Beetle convertible which is my hobby car currently. I’ll take the reliable and simple 1970s bug every time.

The Car & Driver review of the "Beetle Dune" was *BRUTAL!* 😂 They basically warn you to never take it off road. VW actually instructed them before testing, "Do NOT take it off-road!" So they took it down a gravel road and after about 50 yards came to a common pothole that "threatened to tear the front facia off!". Lol It looks like it has skid plates, but they're fake.🤣

I own two beetles a 73 super beetle and a 74 standard beetle I love em so much fun to drive like a legal go kart both mine have the 1.6l dual port engines

VW NERD ALERT 🚨 🤓 The Classic Beetle in the thumbnail isn’t a 1945 Beetle, Beetles had square bumpers in 1968 and then in 1974/75 the front indicators/blinkers were moved to the front bumper as seen in the thumbnail.
