Volkswagen Tiguan 2024 sticking with diesel but why?

The world was moving towards EV and now it seems to have stalled so I try to explain why EV's might be having some problems along with the market demand there's the Chinese problem

I’m with you Bob diesel is great for mile munchers my U.K. car us a Octavia diesel 190hp and it’s glorious, I often get 54 on high speed run per gallon, 40 mph I can 65mpg , it’s got me 700 miles to a tank try that in an ev I get yo and from dirk in 2 hours far less than if I had to charge . Oh Bob stay strong mate I know what your going through , fight , fight fight it with all you got , I truly hope they start treatment asap don’t let them delay it one bit , it took 8 months before they started mine and I went from stage 1 to 3 , I hate the chemotherapy but it’s working , if slower than I want it , so don’t give up I’m not letting it stop me one bit (even if I feel like trash ) keep your mind on the treatment everything else can wait

Why VW is struggling? Because they were saving on their loyal customers: fake exhausts, different quality materials in front and back, laggy screens, failed touch controls on steering wheels and climate, bland looking model range except R line variants (current Tig is a perfect example of that)and so on... Oh, and not interesting electric offerings. Anyway, keep up the good work, Bob. And keep on fighting!

Great review as always Bob! This Tiguan has been for a while one of the most versatile models in VWs range, I’m glad to hear it’s still the case but 60k hurts a bit. Health wise and as big C survivor (6 years now) I wish you all the strength and health!

These cars are way too expensive, I know someone who was quoted €25k to trade up from a 222 Tiguan dsl elegance spec with 80k kms to basic spec new model !

I have the same diesel engine in my Skoda. On a long trip I can get 67mpg.

First off Bob, I absolutely love your videos!! and wish you all the best for the battle your are heading into - and a speedy recovery!🙏💪 I absolutely agree with you Bob!, In Norway the politicians have said that there should not be sold any fossil fueled cars after 2025! HAH aint that a kick in the head?.... Volkswagen for instance, are now only offering EV cars in Norway, and for the fosil fuled cars we see taxes rising rapidly.. to push the public more and more towards EV cars. So i guess there are no stopping this... (pssst lets just hope that there will not be a war in Norway anytime soon, as we will be up shit creek, with all of our fansy EV cars; when the powergrid is taken out🤪)
