Personal experience with Tiguan 2.0 150 hp 2017. I have driven about 2300 kilometers in the last 5 days. On the highway, I drove at an average speed of about 130 kilometers per hour. The average consumption was 5.5 liters per 100 kilometers. I am satisfied with every segment of this vehicle, especially the driving characteristics and low fuel consumption...

Great video mate! Really helpful! I’ve bought a hybrid tiguan and i can’t wait for it to arrive! Question: are those 245 hp ‘real’ ? Is the car accelerating ok? What about the petrol 1.4 engine? What is your opinion about it? Thank you ! 🙌
3 жыл бұрын
Based on my experience with the Superb iV's 218 hp, those horses are all alive. I find the acceleration from 60 to 100 more then okay. You can see in the video how the needle rushes upwards during the overtake. The even bigger surprise for me was, however, how okay the 85 kW is in the city. 0-50 in at most 4 seconds in complete silence. Above 50 you won't tear up the asphalt though, but you shouldn't do that in the city anyway. :-) The engine sounds ugly IMHO when revving. Otherwise it's quiet. You barely hear or feel it when you smoothly accelerate in hybrid mode and it kicks in at around 70 km/h.

There is no easy answer. If you brake from 40 km/h you will charge less than braking from 80 km/h. If you push the brake pedal hard you will save much less energy than gently braking. Usually the battery takes 75-85% of the energy recuperated from wheels.

Wondering why tf most plug in hybrids are petrols? The usual purpose for these cars is that you use the electric motor 80% of the time for commuting and short trips , while using the combustion engine for longer trips where a diesel would make much more sense !
@madott4 жыл бұрын
diesel needs so many extra addon parts that take up space. bigger dpf, fuel filter, scr system, adblue tank etc. it's obvius that petrol is better option + it's less thermal efficient = more and faster heat in colder regions. imo diesels should be banned already and everywhere, because people take off dpf filters and pollution is crazy, why I have to breathe in that cancer? (I have had 2 diesels BMW 525d and previous generation tiguan 2.0tdi.) also vag group diesels are shit and flywheel problem is still not solved. I dont think that electric motor likes vibration that diesels make also.
@Abu-Talha-Al-Kurdi4 жыл бұрын
madott Bro on longer trips it doesn’t matter how „noisy“ the diesel is , considering modern diesels are extremely quiet . Yes , those DPF removers exist , but only make a small percentage of cars . Usually me and my dad go on a Trip like this 1 time a year (10.000 KM in total ) . Our Vw Touran 2.0 TDI (140HP) consumed only ~7 liters despite having the family onboard with lots of luggage . I doubt that a petrol would even come close to that , assume that bout 9 liters are realistic . 700 liters of Diesel for ~700€ in comparison to 900 liters of petrol for ~1100€. Modern euro 6d-Temp diesels are EXTREMELY clean , an article I’ve read showed that these are up to 100 times cleaner in terms of pollution compared to euro 6 . I‘d rather say that only petrol cars should be banned due to their horrible fuel consumption if not having an electric motor like a Toyota hybrid or Plug-in, which both drop the consumption drastically
@rishabhnitc3 жыл бұрын
It could be due to fact that petrol and electric motor complement each other well. Diesels themselves require a 50km highway stretch for optimal run and with a hybrid it would be even more and less efficient.
