In 2019, me and 3 other friends crossed the rann of Kutch in a Porsche Macan S like this during early week of May. That was a road trip through the West coast of India. We crossed the Rann of Kutch in 45 minutes or so..with no rally driving expertise with 4 people and their luggage on board..😅 This video brings a lot of those memories...❤❤

You guys just rock. Any guesses if a premium SUV like Fortuner/Gloster/Alturas can break this. Of course not in the top speed run, but in the overall time by carrying a higher average speed. But with a boxy large SUV, those winds would be a huge factor.

It all comes down the driver, the back up crew, the planning. What you see on the screen is a very small part of it. It takes days of recce, hours spent on making pace notes. Multiple runs up and down the route to know it better.

The Rann is free to visit, you can take your own car for a drive but we recommend going on a guided tour for the best experience.
