$200,000 frame off build! We have a 3 inch binder full of documentation. Every part of this car was redone and several upgrades were made. It now has 4 wheel disc brakes, $13,000 updated air ride, posi rear, electric wipers, stereo conversion and much more.
Only 855 of the top of the line Eldorado Sevilles were made. The Seville wasn't just a Cadillac with extra trim and features. The rear was entirely redesigned. It was more rounded with inboard tailfins and a redesigned bumper. Yes, they were fully equipped too.. Each came with tri-power carbs, air ride, Saber wheels and full power accessories.
EXTERIOR: I don't need to go on about how gorgeous this car is, it speaks for itself. No rust ever Texas car. The body is straight as a rifle barrel, gaps are square and flush. The color is stunning, we have the paint formulas. The metal flake is laid out evenly, the finish is like glass. The abundance of chrome, stainless, anodized trim has all been restored to show quality. It rolls on a set of 17x7 billet Eldorado Saber wheels that cost $4,175. Each is wrapped with radial wide white walls. The glass is crystal clear, the power windows work fast. All the weather strips and rubber seals were replaced.
INTERIOR: The steering was professionally restored at a cost of $1,865. The instrument cluster was restored. The dash pad was reupholstered, it has the built in a/c vents. The factory radio was updated with modern electronics, there is an auxiliary plug. Everything works- interior lights, gauges, even the clock. The headlight switch was $500! The door panels are completely restored, they are beautiful enough to hang on a wall like art. There are so many artistic features: look at the rear armrests, kick panels, even the pedals are cool. Seats are reupholstered in a sharp two tone with contrasting buttons. It has fold down armrests front and back. The white headliner is trimmed with chrome ribs. It has Eldorado floor mats on the floor. Features include power windows, p vent windows, p 6 way seat, p trunk and power antenna.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Completely rebuilt motor, custom pistons, custom ground cam. Rebuilt heads by Dover Cylinder Head. Show quality tri-power carb set up was $3,629. It has a restored correct air cleaner assembly. Upgraded power brake system. Upgraded electric wiper system. It also features factory power steering, air conditioning and windshield washers. Every component is restored. Wiring was replaced. It looks new down to the screws.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has a working power trunk release. Inside is beautiful. It has been professionally lined in premium square loop red carpet with bound edges. The air ride system is proudly displayed. It has a spare with matching cover and a restored jack. The bottom of the trunk lid is glossy, weatherstrip is new.
UNDERSIDE: Under this car is new. The body was off the frame. The floors are clean metal. They were prepped and painted back to original with red oxide primer. The chassis was completely disassembled, prepped and painted semi gloss black. The entire suspension and steering was rebuilt, detailed and upgraded. The original air suspension was replaced with a $13,071 Ridetech computer controlled air ride system. It also has Fox gas shocks in back. Custom fabricated, all stainless exhaust system. The joints are welded, the mufflers are polished like chrome, it has resonators in back. All new upgraded brake system. It has disc at all 4 wheels, drilled and slotted rotors in front. New e-brake system. New fuel system including the tank, straps, sending unit, electric fuel pump and lines. Looking up at the motor it's spotless, it has a high torque starter. The trans was upgraded with a completely rebuilt Turbo 400 automtic. There is a matched set of grooved aluminum flywheel cover and trans pan. The driveshaft assembly was restored. In back it has a complete new Ford 9 inch rear with 3.50 posi unit. Every nut and bolt looks new under this car.
All the stars have aligned to make such a special car. It will be the star of the show, center of attention anywhere it goes. It is a privilege to look at this car. Imagine how it will make you feel to own and drive it!

This car is Absolutely Gorgeous, and if you are going to restore a vehicle, this is the way to do it!! The Restorer left no stone uncovered. @@tomtransport This car has been beautifully upgraded with modern creature comforts, and subtle customization, like wheel size, air suspension, modern brakes, a/c, and more, so, no. A stock 57/58 ss roof Eldorado Brougham wouldnt even come close to this car, in my opinion.

most people think of the '59 when thinking of 50's finned Cadillacs, but I love the '58...last of the Harley Earl design...full of chrome and size and detail. This car is absolutely stunning, and I don't use that word often...no superlative can describe it adequately. Amazing. I have a '58 Fleetwood survivor car, and I always thought that it had real presence, but this is just over the top...the bomb if there ever was one. I really really want those 17" sabres for my car

58 Cadillac is my fav yr. This Seville is the best I've ever seen. Drooling over it. I'd buy it for my father if I had the money. He had a 58 series 62 50 + yrs ago and we still talk about it. This is an unbelievable restoration worth every dollar. I envy the next owner! 😍

Things folks take for granted now, power steering, power brakes, all power windows, 6 way power seats, power antenna, factory air conditioning !!were marvels in 1958 and this magnificent auto sports them all....can you just imagine how the neighbors would be drooling back in 58 as you rolled into your driveway behind the wheel of this gem!!

Glad I checked out video true rare bird this 58 Seville. Many are more familiar with 58 Eldorado convertible or confuse with 58 coupe. Mind was blown to know this was a frame off restoration ( best way to go in my opinion). Can see a spare no expense attitude was applied, simply beautiful!

I'll be 80 this year so I remember these when new. With the way this car was redone I can truthfully say, it's better then new. I was disappointed When Cadillac lowered the Dagmar's in the front of the 58's, I like the style of the 57's better in that regard. That's just a personal choice, I'm sure there are others who love the 58 design. This is a beautiful car but if were to spend the money this is going for I would rather buy a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham in black with the stainless steel roof and suicide rear doors. I saw a brand new one new in a showroom in Philadelphia, it was late 1957 or early 1958, I was 15/16 years old and my mouth fell open , my eyes popped and I think I froze in place in a trance for 5 minutes or more. In my minds eye I can still see it.

I love the car I don't like the fact that there's a $13,000 air ride on it those cars rolled like they were on air anyways it's something that wasn't needed I love the beauty of the car I like the fact it's got the disc brakes all the way around that's an upgrade for sure but I don't need no freaking $13,000 air ride

It rode like it was on air because it was, it had factory air ride. The upgraded air suspension gets rid of the body roll and keeps it flat in the corners and when braking so it's safer to drive, you can adjust the ride height look of it for shows or personal preference, change the firmness for road conditions, and raise it higher than stock when going over speed bumps/tables or in and out of steep driveways and parking lots so you don't damage the extremely expensive chrome bumpers or drag the belly of it and have to pay to get it redone again. You could spend that much and a lot more on taking apart, re-chroming, reassembling and aligning those bumpers and trim pieces so it's a safety investment for your chrome. Plus it gets rid of the factory air pump running off the motor taking the work load off it and freeing up horsepower to get that heavy thing moving.

At first glance the car is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, but after hearing Jay's usual excellent description (coupled with his superb camera work) my heart went out to this beautiful old lady. It is truly unfortunate that such painstaking attention to original detail where on this magnificent car exact restoration was observed has been heartlessly adulterated by unnecessarry and unneeded upgrades & "improvements". This is especially saddening as it is very obvious the previous owner had both the knowledge and the financial means to do it right. I only wish I had the ability to purchase this exquisite example and put this to right.

Then why don't you put your money where your mouth is and just buy one so that you can have it your way? Have you driven a '50s Cadillac with bias ply tires and caged ball bearing in the front hubs lately, or has it been SO LONG that you just don't remember what that is like any longer? Or, perhaps you're just dreaming that a '58 Seville rides and performs anything like a newer Cadillac does. Every change on that car was carefully though out and executed with good reason. Its a combination of a show car with today's driveabily. Furthermore, I would put my craftsmanship up against yours ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!

Hi from England I have been watching lots of videos of ELVIS and his "backstory" and of course ELVIS ♥♥♥♥♥Cadillac Cars so much so he gave away many of them to people he did not know and many to people he did know like George Klein Words to describe this Eldorado Seville is AWESOME, AMAZING WOW. I could not take a car like this out on the public roads without panicking that even a stone would fly up and chip the beautiful paint. And I just about lost it when it was pulled out into the wet frozen world, hope there was no salt in those puddles! This car is just too perfect to take outside! Wish I had the money to buy it and maintain it in this condition.

@@waterboy8999 yeah that’s a pretty good conclusion. Sure is a nice Cadillac! A car like that would be nice if the buyer could have some way to talk to the previous owner about the car. 3 years ago my son bought a 2016 mustang gt high performance model with some special rare factory options and a bunch of extra add on after market stuff from a new car dealer. It had no miles/kilometres on it. The former owner traded it in along with a 2016 Harley Davidson bike with no miles on it and an Expedition in on a single new car. Strange situation and no one at the dealer would divulge the storey behind it all saying they had no idea as to why. So it’s a mystery why and what my son paid for the mustang was cheap even then and now it is valued at least $18,000 more than what he paid for it. Sometimes you can get lucky. Now his mustang still only has 17,000 km’s on it, about 10,500 miles and never winter driven.
