The thing I used to think there was no delay between Console and PC, until I played in locals on a PC that had a slow refresh rate monitor. I literally dropped all my combos and couldn't do any Just Frames, because the TV refresh rate was not something I was used to. It's no excuse, but to say its all the same for every setup is untrue.

I want to share 2 perspectives on this, from the POV of a competitor 1. when you're as good as Arslan is, people forget you're also just a person. No one ever competes at 100%, there is always going to be an issue (or more). If you see this as a human being, you will always point out that these problems existed. I feel like Arslan doesn't do this to the extreme where he ends up disrespecting his opponents. For example, if he said "man, this guy is ass, he only won cause of lag, he would never beat me otherwise". That is ego. That is bad. For him to say "I could've played better but these are the problems i faced" this is just human. Do you not do that when you lose in something you care about? 2. Picking up where the first point dropped off. He cares about the game. It's very clear Arslan is emotional about Tekken. He legit cried when his friend lost. I don't think people can understand this without feeling the same way about something. To some degree, to be as good as he is, you have to be so invested that each loss hits you THAT hard. Being upset about something that is everything to you is only natural. A bonus thing i'd like to mention, specific to Arslan. Arslan talks about his fans a lot. When he plays, I think he plays for his country, his friends and his "fans". When he loses, he feels the need to justify those losses to them. I think these posts are directed towards them and not to the people attacking him. Again, I feel like this is not only natural, but a good thing as long as he's not being disrespectful towards anyone, which I don't think he is.

I like Arslan, but he plays meta picks over passion picks, and keeps his highest value in fundamentals and mechanics. This isn’t T7, T8 is a new beast and he has to learn it like everyone else. That's why I don't like Arslan. Sure his achivements in T7 era were impressive but it's this cocky attitude thay always put me off. He always made those kind of lame excuses. He should just take L and say "sorry guys, my bad, I wasn't in my top form, I'll do my best next time". Korean players like Knee or JDCR never made those kind of poor excuses when they lose. There is a huge diffrence between console and pc.My example.I play jin,im a scrub i know.On pc i am at kishin and sometimes raijin but always go back to kishin easilly.At this level i feel comfortable with the people im fighting.Its hard and challenging but i feel like im where im supposed to be.On ps5 im in flame ruler and getting bonked to mighty ruler every so often.Same internet,same router,same prowess,same controller.The only diffrence is console/pc and monitor/tv.To me i feel like ps5 has a huge input lag.My controller is running gp2040 which is pretty much top class in terms of input lag and im telling you to me ps5 is just slow as heck.On pc i can do electrics left and right and on console if i get one i feel like im lucky.

I respect Arslan as a player but don't like him as person. He's always been a sore loser. Bro just take the L's. Most pro players's had to deal with situations that affected their tournaments performance, fatigue, jet lag, sickness or maybe even the loss of a family member who knows. About the PC vs Console debate: yes there is a difference. I played a local tournament where we would play matches on both PC and PS5 and I could react to things like Jin's hellsweep or Jin's d2 on PC but couldnt on PS5

Off topic though but still related on what Arslan said/posted, for the future tournaments we have to use P25 or other console because PC alwasy varied with set up unlike Ps5 it has constant frames so no one could ever made an excuse about the tech used in a particular event/tourney.

Well, when you are the greatest of all time, you will have many that love you, but you will also have many that hate you. Am not a Pakistani, but i think because Arslan is a Pakistani, he will get a lot more hate for some reason, i highly doubt Arslan would've gotten this much hate if he was a Korean.

yeah.. i don't know, i don't like the race card being pulled out here. Pros can be both good and a sore loser. Like Leffen in Smash, maybe Punk in SFV, now he's still kinda a sore loser but he accepts his loss much better now and mostly do stuff like that for content or just for the sake of a joke. i'm fine with EWC drama, broke the stick and prevented him to win, but i don't like the way he worded his tweets, could've picked better words. examples : 1. Nemo in EVO 2024 has his controller broken mid match, took around 2-3x different controller testing to continue the match, and he lost because of the mental stack, and lost his tempo. 2. NuckleDu pressed the start/share button on his controller mid match vs tokido in EWC. lost his tempo and lose. but he basically tweeted on the matter with "Played good, pressed the share button, and that was unfortunate" It's understandable when you lost to shit things happened, but it's always a good idea to end it in "ah gg go next" fashion, you know?

The reason Arslan gets called out like this is because he spends most of the time putting Pakistan on the verbal pedestal, talking down others and claiming they’re the best (and so does his fans). If you do that, you can’t turn to excuses when you lose. This is a problem I’ve noticed being huge with Arslan, other peeps like Leffen and many players in the US. There hasn’t been many times of Korean players doing this, mostly because mouths kinda stay shut. But, not too long ago, Knee and (who would’ve guessed) Arslan made excuses about why they didn’t like Tekken 8, just for Knee to be the first to retract his statement after being called out. Arslan only did after topping in a tournament.

The frame time is not consistent in pc,but if using rivatuner and set framerate limit to 60 it will be same as console.

I own the game both on PC and PS. The lag is induced by the Monitor or Screen you are using not the PC/PS itself. The game is totally smooth on both of them.

I do agree on the delay thing, I have Tekken for both PS5 & PC and there is a small difference in delay, but not like 7 which was like 4 frames or something like that, it's only like 1 frame delay, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that because a single frame can actually make a difference in dropping or hitting a combo, but on everything else he's just coping and can't handle the fact that people are adapting to him and are adapting to the game better than him and he's getting beaten & sometimes even outplayed, so yes, the delay might factor a bit, but everything else is just a sore loser type of pettiness.

Someone who plays Tekken competively and travels. There IS A massive difference between PC and PS5. It's so different you will drop combos if you aren't used it it and train on both regularly. PCs has almost 0 delay where PS5 is like 5-8ms, thats basically x2-x4 slower than the PC response time. So on PC when you press your input the character moves or does the action immediatly where on PS5 you can notice a slight delay. That delay makes any visual queue's going from one system to the other basically not work, when I play on PS5 I have to try and rely on muscles memory and remember the timing than rely on the visual queue's which I do on PC. This delay won't fuck up simple BnB combos but optimised combos that have micro-dashes and specific timing inputs it will. I do triple micro-dash combos on Jin and it takes a couple games for me to adapt to PS5 timing and I will sometimes drop hard combo's I don't usually drop. Tekken is way better on PC but it is gaited behind a £1500-2000 PC which the game is terrible and laggy if you don't have and its understandable most events don't have to budget for super high end PCs so PS5 is only played because its easier, cheaper and more convenient for transporting. It's definitely to worst system and you definitely have an advantage in Ranked if you have a good PC and the opponent is using a PS5.

A decent pc with 12400f/5600 with rtx 3060 is enough for stable 60 fps ,u dont need to spend 2000 bucks for tekken as it is locked 60fps. And 5ms delay is not x2 -x4 slower dude, Using the same 60 fps, the frame time would (theoretically) be 16.6ms, or 1/60th of a second. but as u said u plays competitively so u know better than me regarding the delays and i think that it will get reduced with the introduction of ps5 pro.

There IS a delay between PS5 and PC these days. I play on PC and everytime I play on locals (PS5) I have to take a min to adjust to the console lag.

Man it's just a few milliseconds generally. That's a blink of an eye. I play vs PC players a lot and I'm on Xbox S. There's not really a difference there at all for me.

I Play on the 3 platforms (PS5, Xbox and PC) I'm Tekken King in each and YES, PC Has a considerable advantage due to its faster response time compared to the consoles ... You don't have to be a pro to notice It ... Vsync is forced ON on consoles and can be disabled on PC, which gives you a HUGE boost in input response ... So, in that manner, Arslan is right, once you get used to one or other, you will feel and be affected by the differences between platforms.

Honestly, I don’t see or feel a difference between platforms. But I’ll say something about people taking jabs at Arslan. Everyone that’s considered a goat gets it. Arslan gets it, SonicFox gets it, Punk gets it. Hell…even LaBron James gets it. If you win a lot and talk a lot of shit, prepare for that pushback and make sure you back it up. Arslan, when he loses however, seems to become like LaBron. It’s okay to make light excuses here and there, just make sure they aren’t too often and definitely make sure they’re not putting down the fact that you were bested that one time and you’ll be fine.

This may just be me giving him the benefit of the doubt, but I feel like it’s less about him trying to protect his pride and more about him not wanting to disappoint his peers or let his fans down. There's a difference between console and PC. Pc has less input lag especially in tekken 7. In tekken 8 PC is a lot better. That's why most koreans uses PC.
