Voltage Multiplier (Half wave)

This video shows how a half wave voltage multiplier and how to wire it
components need :
Voltage Doubler :
Diode :1N4007 - 2
Capacitor : 100 mfd - 2
Transformer : 6V (you can use any value with respect to your
work)

Sir i used transformer of 12 volt.For that I used capacitor of 100 microfarad 12 volts.But you used capacitor of 100 microfarad for 6 volt transformer.Please tell me the capacitor value which I used for my 12 volt transformer is correct,or should I use less than that or greater than that

Hai @nethravathy you can use the 100 microfarad capacitor. But the voltage rating of the capacitor should be 2 times or 3 times the input voltage for voltage doubler and tripler respectively. also the higher the value of capacitor the output will be stable with higher loads

Hello, i am currently building a wind turbine using an ac motor , but it turns too slow.. so i plan to put a voltage doubler into it, but i wander :- 1) half wave vs full wave doubler better ? 2) doubler with rectifier will output more power...? Pls someone advice me... cheers...

It's a tripler circuit the 6V input is multiplied 3 time. By storing the voltage in the capacitor and then discharging it
