Your frustration at throwing stuff out and then "needing" it at some point hence, is one of life's mysteries, especially for members of the BPB (the "brotherhood of practical blokes"). The answer is a dream of a bigger and better organised shed!🤣. I'm 76 yrs old. I am still using/repurposing bits and pieces from decades ago... SO! Pretty interested in this 200Ah option. I'd absolutely be interested to see a time-lapse showing voltage and consumed Amos from full to empty with about a 0.2C load (40amp for this battery). A high continuous discharge BMS is great, still much the same cells underneath. Especially with B or C grade cells, would be good to know what capacity these have under standard testing conditions.

I think the manufacturer tells us the maximum discharge current is 100 amps for this battery.

The settings button does do something. You just need to hold both buttons down. What the code means and what it does I have no idea and was hoping to find out here. 😂

One of the web sites that sell this battery say its only 200 amp max for 5 seconds and 100 amps continuous.

Yeah the volt meters on LFPs are pretty useless. But you have the shunt so no worries. So many batteries out there now, she's a bit of a minefield choosing one. I don't think price is a direct indicator of quality either. Are you going to take the 100Ah as a spare, I know canopy realestate is at a premium.

But if gimmick the volt meter. There are few cheap lithiums now. Will be interesting to see how well they hold up over time. No won’t have enough space to take the 100aH. Would be nice if I could.

Sorry haven’t heard anything about these or tested them. Just had a quick look at the specs and they seem better on paper especially with 100a continuous discharge.

apparently the real issue is this brand and I am sure others, use piss poor bms and their is no, in the case of the 100 amp model and perhaps this 200 amp model. no active cell balancing. so in a short period of time, or cycles the cells get quite badly out of balance. causing a large drop in capacity, as this battery comes from outback on ebay, I would recommend not buying . I have had a issue of a expensive genset that arrived, d.o.d.. no spark. from them and they played every thick in the book not to help, including having me the consumer do endless diagnostics and every email. about 20 of them, was replied to by a different person. I had to inform them I was giving both my and their email stream, to small claims before they sent me a return address to send genset back. remember this was a unit that never started. this was of cause another disaster as when I dropped it off at there nominated trucking company they had no knowledge of the arrangement. I left it there and informed outback off my compliance with their wish's. they duly sent a replacement, but god what a shit fight. people who live on the east coast should check out aussie batteries they have fair price lithium battery and in the case of there agm battery's let you get them tested at your local battery center, and they are sticklers for honestly. replace faulty batteries quickly. it seems they have dropped there fee fright aissie wide on lithium batteries. just ask plenty of questions and ask to speak to their battery tecs they claim the batteries are made in Australia but I bet the bms comes from china and the cells. I found the battery's are assembled in Austria by smart technologies, who claim on there web site, they will in the future build the cells here using aussie mined lithium which tells me as of now, the cells come from overseas. in general I feel assize battery's are doing I few little tricks to keep there sale price low, like pro rata warranty and cutting the free fright aussie wide deal. but they are far and away streets ahead of any eBay seller to deal with, just seems lithium is a little 2 rate compared to their agm support. so ask heaps of questions. I rang outback to inquire what happens if their volt x battery needs testing. as with all their stuff its,.... return to base . so as I have enjoyed there version of service I wouldn't buy one with someone else's money, let alone mine. may be do a test one year down the track, as that would tell far more then testing it brand new, and perhaps find out if it has active cell balancing. thanks for your efforts in this vid. oh in regard to aussie batteries service, I blew up 3,.. 120 agm batteries by leaving a failed battery in the system and it shit both of its Nabors as I didn't have circuit breaker between each battery. so I felt I really was responsible for 2 battery demise from not having said circuit breakers and I told them that. they just said, get them tested a your local battery seller ,must have correct test equipment for agm as it is different than testing start batteries and we will pay them. when batteries where found to be u/s and a report was sent by the testing service, aussie batteries super quickly sent 3 new ones. I had only to pay 110 dollars on the pro rata. they covered all testing and fright. so that is how I know the are honest, and great to work with. I still felt bad about leaving the failed one in the bank and repeatly apologized to them which they could of used on me , they did not, also they have stellar reviews hundreds of them. but to me it seems there warranty is a little less now 3 years instead of 7 which was ridiculus for a agm battery in the first place. and to keep price low their warranty on their lithium is not as good as others, pro rata instead of non declining, but what I can say is you have problems, within that warranty you will be treated like a king. just read the reviews. pity they dropped the free fright, guess that shows how tight the competition is in lithium battery sales.... and of cause it stops people no living on the east coast from using their service. but I am Shure their would be many other honest battery sellers on the west coast just read there reviews if their arnt hundreds of good ones, dont buy form them.

Wow thanks for taking the time to comment and sharing your opinions and experience. So far I have had no issues with the battery and my worry is that when things go wrong will you get the service like you have mentioned. Will be interesting to see how the battery holds up if it does.
