A perfect job. You did that exactly as you should do an install. It's nice to see you put so much work into the details. That makes so much difference to the outcomes. Sheathing the high current positive wires,rivnuts,cloth tape,etc. it's one of the few times my OCD didn't kick in while watching a video. Thanks for you great workmanship.

Good job mate, nice battery & setup. There are a lot of things to like about this battery with metal case, a built in isolator & meter & 250A JBD BMS, its made to suit a 3kw inverter nicely. Cheers

That’s an awesome setup you have built mate very neat wiring ! It would be unreal to have some fully charged cordless tools in the bush that would be very handy! Do you run a dc-dc charger or just solar? One other thing what heat shrink is that it seems to shrink a lot for how thick it started off as. Loving the videos!
@house-ofhoon2 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate! Yea it's great being able to use the grinder and chainsaw in the bush! I run a redarc 1240bcdc with 400w of solar. It's just heat shrink with glue in it from eBay. Nothing fancy lol

you really need to think about using 2 cables in parallel to your inverter. 1 going to each pole on the battery. the circuit breaker on your battery will trip before you reach full load with the inverter. just a heads up
@house-ofhoon2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the heads up. There has been absolutely no issues of any kind, including any circuit breakers on the battery tripping when running the inverter flat out
@jonburchell27602 жыл бұрын
@@house-ofhoon that's interesting. The BMS from these allows 250a continuous draw. However that is supposed to be 125a from each terminal I'm lead to believe. Can you confirm what amp rating the circuit breaker is?
@house-ofhoon2 жыл бұрын
The circuit breaker is also 250amp. I contacted the manufacturer before the install and they told me there is no issues with only using one of the terminals with 70mm2 cable
@jonburchell27602 жыл бұрын
@@house-ofhoon fair enough there was another video of it on KZbin tripping at about 160a load. Maybe something has changed. They look like a good battery. 👌
@jonburchell27602 жыл бұрын
@@house-ofhoon I ended up buying one of these monsters. Looking forward to installing it but just letting you and anyone else know it is definitely only a 125a per pole circuit breaker. Allan told me I should split the supply cable for a 2000w inverter to share the load between terminals as it will get close to 200a and most definitely will trip.
