VR6 engine (step-by-step assembly)

The Volkswagen 3.6 liter VR6 engine was mounted and scanned as a whole on YXLON International's linear accelerator. Scanning took ~ 20 hours and resulted in a data set of more than 3.6 GB. After the projection data was reconstructed using the VGStudio MAX CT Reconstruction add-on module, the data set was virtually split into more than 150 segments.
This Video was created from the resulting data set.
All rendering required was done on standard PCs using VGStudio MAX.
