Volvo C30, Automatic Shifter Removal

Quick question in mine I can’t put it fully in manual mode only half way in the slot and Gear 1 will show if I fully put it to the side it doesn’t switch it stays in Drive this happened when I had to replace the Auto trans shifter slide cover

Not MNIWT but there's a magnet that actuates this in the shifter cover. You may have installed it wrong

@@obliviousorange287 Exactly my thought as well. The blind can easily be installed upside down or it's possible that one of the magnets fell off.
