👌💪 that's exactly why I posted, chased this problem down for a year or more with over 10 breakdowns, have somone look at your clutch also, and XY shifter they get overlooked a lot.

I tried everything took all wires out cleaned all connections tried removing f59 dint work tried removing f13 worked thanks for the video

Have a good dealer that's familiar with these issues go through it, mine had wires that were still connected from old fleet.

Definitely have him find good shop I recommend volvo dealership in Alsip, IL they were really familiar with it.

Thanks bro We never met. Today I had a similar situation. I drive a 2008 Volvo VNL 300 daycab. I was driving through like Bayport Terminal and all of my gauges went flat and to the left. I was actually reaching for the a/c when I noticed it was not working. No aC in Houston Tx is fighting words. Hahahahaha Thanks. I didn't know the fuse box opened from the top like that.

UPDATE: Truck wouldn't start and started to give me every kind of data link connection broken error from trans to ton of other weird errors, Took to great volvo shop in Alsip,IL and turns out it was old Qualcomm connections was connected all through truck and outside, they disconnected everything related to qualcomm and every thing is fine. He stated wires was corroding and causing back feed to computer.

I had a similar problem, mechanic replacing the cab shocks started a fire inside the cab when he used a torch to cut the bolts. Fire burned the Qualcomm wiring going across the passenger side floor and up the back of the day cab. Killed the instrument cluster, data link, etc. Traced the wires back up under the dash and simply disconnected them.

Open up the battery wires..and put it back on.. it will reset the whole system and all gauges should work.. i did that

I'm having a similar problem.... But.... I don't have any of the qualcomm stuff in here anymore. Floor was taken up and all the wiring and everything was removed... Problem started again.... What shop did you go to in alsip? I live in the area...

I have no ac or heat blower not working . Oil gauge zero/ rpm work speed doesn’t/. Says open circuit for left and right repeater/ primary air gauge reads 180 and doesn’t move. Dash also says egr valve 2. I cleans battery post and replaced battiers i will try your fix tomorrow

Hi, I have a problem on my Volvo FM9 it is indicating that the gear box data link cable is disconnected. Is this just a fuse problem or the actual cable?

Not sure I would start with checking fuses and wires before I take it to mechanic.

Looking for fuse or relay 2006 Volvo 780 that runs utility lights an break lights stay on really dim until turn lights on then their bright any suggestions??

Duane Claycomb I think you are referring to relays, not certain which one, if possible I would look at chart under fuse cover and. Or pull one by one until you locate it, if they are not labeled

I just worked on one where the dash plugs in back lost connection. Removed waited 5m and plugged in turned key on and everything works

Can you drive with no rpm's or mph? I'm a BRAND NEW solo driver and this happened to me and my company wants me to continue driving. Im nervous, I rely on rpm's to up and down shifting through hills...

Learn to shift by sound. With time, you'll know the sound of the engine speed, and when to shift, up and down.

Most trucks have 4 batteries volvo are in the step area below driver door, hope that helps, not aure about a battery underhood.
