Oh Paul, the future of motoring does not look bright for me at all. I hate these massive screens, and minimalist designs. All I want are buttons, physical climate control dials, volume knobs, and a wheel to navigate infotainment screen. Alas! I am of the old dying breed.

I think it's stunning pretty much like everything else Volvo from the Thor's hammer design era. I just don't know how I feel about the separated tail light design, if anything the old XC90 had a more resolved rear design in my opinion.

No Volvo will continue to sell both and will redesign the next xc90 generation it will be a plug-in hybrid though!

Are you seriously criticizing Volvo for doing something about drunk drivers? Maybe the drunk drivers shouldn't drive.

@@scott8919 it won’t be just drunk drivers though, will it! It will be every driver that the software thinks is intoxicated and the car will require regular sobriety tests or it will reduce available functions, such as acceleration, audio devices…. The car will log every override occurrence onto the vehicle’s hard drive, send it to Volvo and I wouldn’t doubt that Police could also seize it as evidence in the event of an incident, whether or not the driver was involved eg Dashcams. Then there are passengers. Drivers are responsible for all occupants and that include intoxicated passengers, so that is also information the car could deem worthy of overriding functions. You think i’m exaggerating? I own a Tesla, so don’t lecture me on in-car neurotic ‘nannies’, because Teslas software is mostly neurotic nanny overrides, with in car camera and full recording and reporting functions. You, no doubt, took a basic driving test many years ago and have never even though about either checking or improving your current driving standard.
