Good morning friend, do you think that the salt water pump gasket can be replaced with black silicone to seal?
@peterplantinga21276 жыл бұрын
Yes, Volvo or Jabsco should have used a water resistant seal, meaning the spring must be stainless. The good news is you can buy these stainless springs for a dollar or so in a bearing shop and replace the rusty one. Or buy a replacement sealring in a bearing shop with preassembled stainless spring.

Hello Tino, when you removed this sewater-pump.. you had to remove all the (motor)oil isn't it ? thnk you in advance.

No there is no need to remove the motoroil when removing the waterpump. The oil is in the oil pan and will not run out.

Will you make an episode where you clean the heatexchanger?
@twiper6 жыл бұрын
I've got that question before but know it's a bit of a task. Know others who also have bavaria boats and if I come near such a repair I'll make a video. Could of course also do a heatexchanger cleaning on my own engine....
@twiper6 жыл бұрын
I have thought about your suggestion and according to the manual you must clean the heatexchanger every 400 hour, my engine has gone 800 hours and has no signs of separation of the heatexchanger. Maybe a good idea to clean the heatexchanger and check the valve adjustment which also must be done each 400 hour.

Ref the air cleaner have a look at motorcycle air intake socks
@twiper6 жыл бұрын
I'll have a look :) but I prefer to use original parts on my engine for durability an safety. If a original air filter can last 10 years I can live with the 85 US dollars price tag.
