This video was excellent. It worked perfectly well on my 2007 S40. Only challenge was that my cd changer was a six disc changer and was a bit more difficult to slide out. Other than that was absolutely no problem - and it all went back together

i have a 2006 volvo s40 an i went to multiple different audio installations places including best buy an they all told me my year and model is the only model that you can not put an aftermarket receiver in, but you took it out so easily....

The reason they can't put aftermarket unit is not because it is impossible (or even hard) to remove the stock one. The reason is that the stock one uses optical fibre cables to send the audio signal out. And I believe that signal is not only digital but also encoded with Volvo's own proprietary protocol.

I wonder it too, and why is it even beeping when he is not moving? My Volvo C30 is silent when I start the car and if I don't have seat belt on when I start to drive, it starts beeping... Maybe this feature is modified for the US market?

By any chance u know what to do when ur radio fm isn’t loud !! Like u can turn it all the way up and it isn’t loud loud but when u change to AM radio or cd is normal volume

Dear sir! I have a problem with the waterfall console, as the backlight is dead, and no controls works at all. At first the console went dark and later worked again. Now dark again. I suspect bad connections. Do you have an idea of where to look?

I did all the steps but the cd played couldn't be removed, the dash is in the way on my 06 S40, I can't get the speakers to work and I've tried all I can think of, I replaced all the fuses associated with the audio system, checked for any loose connection on the amp, and I even bought an amp and replaced it last night and that's not the problem either ...so frustrating I just want to blare my music lol

Be aware, if you order from Bluepower in Sweden, they will NOT give you RCA cables, FM cable/splitter. And also no pre-installed software/maps on SD/RF card for the GPS.

Hello from Germany, i have some Problem with the Aux-Input of my v50 /2007. There are disturbing noises, mostly on the left Chanel. With and without running Engine. The Radio and the CD-Player are working pretty fine. Do you think that there is a Problem with the Connection or is there a Problem with the Infotainment-Unit? Thanks in Advancend

05 S40, I have experienced the same. Change the entire head unit (100%official) once 2 years ago. First one was down bcz of deck error. But the second one (new one), only lasted less than two years, then got new problem - all discs ejected automatically, but doesn't take any CD in anymore. My case sort of proofed that this is the product design problem. So if you trust me, do not waste your money on replacing a new one, nor buying used on e-bay. Bcz sooner or later, will be same story happen. I have tried all the possible ways to bring my music back. As of Dec, 2016. Tried both in USA and EUROPE 6 countries where I travel and lived. The best solution is to install a USB, Aux adapter, solve problem once for all for this particular year range (2005-06)s40. Find right adapter takes some time and effort. As of today Dec 2016. The cost range $280- $400. Any cheaper systems on the market, can not fit to our volvo s40 (unit this time). More expensive than buying used, I know. But worth it, if you still wish to keep your car for few years.
