Volvo S60 Polestar: The car with a turbocharged and supercharged 2.0L 4-Cylinder engine!

When you think of Euro performance sedans, the most common cars that pop-up in mind are the M3 or the C63 and probably for us Indians the M340i or the S5. But, there was a car introduced by Volvo, yes, the Sweden manufacturer that focuses on safety, they introduced the S60 Polestar a couple of years ago. Now the Polestar is special because of two things, one, the engine, a twin-charged 2.0L 4-Cylinder which makes 367HP and 470Nm that is coupled to an AWD system. Get more info on that when the video comes out and the second thing is, apparently only thirty S60 Polestars have been sold in India. Yep, quite the unicorn! This has been on list for years now! This is such an underrated engine. And even I saw a T6 S60 2011 in Delhi recently, and found out that it has a Straigh Six TurboPetrol 3.0 with 300+ BHP!🔥

You have covered it all, it delivers quite a lot power with 367bhp, 470nm torque AWD. It has been a pleasure owning one. I would not recommend tuning it further as it has ample amount of power under its hood. I always thought of tuning my polestar but I have decide not to as the car is so rare, I want to keep it as is…

PoleStar used to be Volvo’s tuning/motorsports arm, like ///M and AMG and RS, until parent Geely snatched it from Volvo to make their electric vehicle company, making mediocre electric cars (except the PoleStar One concept). Current generation S60/V60, however has a remnant of the OG S60 lineage. It is their T8 “powered by PoleStar” models, where the low end torque is supplied by electric motors, producing an allegedly monstrous 415 hp Volvo Sedan/Wagon complete with Öhlins adjustable shocks. I have driven the car, and like many KZbin auto channels, frankly the power doesn’t really feel like 415 hp. OG PoleStar motorsports is now known as Cyan, the new motorsports arm of Volvo,

4:30 So I have the track pack variant of the 2018 Polestar and yes to the people sitting inside the car, in normal mode, it is quiet. However, in sport mode, this car is anything but subtle in terms of sound on the outside She is an absolute screamer. Mine is tuned to 400hp and 532Nm of torque on a stock exhaust and it is anything but quiet and subtle. It has no rev-drop crackle but you get all the pops, burbles and bangs on the upshifts. And it is far more agressive in terms of performance (even bone stock) vs an M340i I can assure you Soham. 5:12 Unfortunately, this car is anything but compliant (yes it has manually adjustable Ohlins dampers as standard). Maybe the owner has softened the dampers because the bump stiffness is really harsh otherwise. The car feels waaay too taut.
