3 hrs 30 mins for an 11kwh battery on a public charger is terrible. I can see these hogging public chargers while pure EV drivers queue up behind it. :-(
@tombarron87415 жыл бұрын
To be honest as a PHEV owner I have used slow chargers -7kW. But full EV's don't bother with these anyway. Also it's hardly worth the effort. The distance you have to drive to find a charger is usually more than the electric range of the PHEV.

@tombarron87415 жыл бұрын
@@MrGbSandwich exactly. Also batteries in PHEV's are charged daily increasing the rate of degradation. On average pure EV's are charged weekly meaning a much slower rate of degradation.
@MrGbSandwich5 жыл бұрын
@@tombarron8741 there are different batteries in hybrid electric battery packs and pure electric cars. (hopefully if they made it correctly) the hybrid ones are less dense (therefor the pack are heavier) and can take more recharges because of it. An pure electric vehicles battery pack would weight some 1ton if made with same battery's and be impossible to store under the floor. so they have more power dense batteries to bring the weight down of the pack to around 500kg. the downside of this is that number of recharges will be less however since the amount of stored energy around 80kwh contains more energy they wont have to be recharge as often. cheers.
@tombarron87415 жыл бұрын
@@MrGbSandwich interesting. My PHEV has been charged nearly 900 times it has degraded but not terribly so you might even be right. Not often I say that to anyone.

very disappointing production run rate here in the USA after the big China buy in. totally agree great looking car but hardly a stand out in the overwhelmingly blase 4 door Sedan market going on at least a decade now.
