Plentiful supply of pew pews of every type. 2. Plentiful supply of trucks of every type. 3. Plentiful supply of food of every type. I could go on but you know because your there. Keep up the great work and thanks for your support.

Simon your plowing video helps me get in the winter mindset. It's that time in upstate NY when we can have snow any day. Sometimes it can be very mild in our winter but we have to be ready for snow. I have food, firewood, and diesel for my snowblower. Dont really need anything else (except a couple of deer harvested in the upcoming hunting season.)

It's too bad you're afflicted with back pain. Snowfall certainly wont wait for it to feel better. At least you have the trusty Volvo. One less thing to worry about. Do you realize you loose 4’ every time you dump your bucket? It’s much more effective to pull forward as you lift the bucket putting the front tires to the edge of where you cleared and then dump so you don’t loose the cleared ground under your bucket. Because you’re clearing that 4 feet but then lift and dump a bucket of snow on the last 4 feet you just cleared. Just an observation.
@arctic-rebel
@arctic-rebel 10 ай бұрын
Thanks, not sure what you were seeing but I have been doing this for a long time now and load out hundreds maybe thousands of tons each year and can assure you I don't have 4' to loose anywhere. My banks are full height front to back so maybe I was just shuffling and not loading out. I appreciate you help if I had not know though, all comments are good. Thank you.
@blackheart30518
@blackheart30518 10 ай бұрын
@@arctic-rebel so what I saw was you would push up then stop pickup your bucket while stopped and then dump. the snow you dump goes right where your bucket just cleaned. The actual foot print of your bucket is clean when you lift up but then without moving forward you dump and the load of snow in the bucket covers the clean area of what was under your bucket. So how ever deep that bucket is from the cutting edge to back 3-4’ is clean but since the bucket pivots at the back it dumps the snow on ground that was just cleaned. That’s all I was saying. If you pull forward that 3-4’ as you lift up you gain 3-4’ of clean ground. And I’m sure you have moved more snow than me, but that doesn’t mean I don’t know how to do it or that I am wrong. Watch some of your video and you will see what I am saying. I am not trying to be rude or tell you how to do a job you have been doing for a long time. I was only trying to give a little helpful advice, is all. Sorry if I offended you. that was not my intention at all. But as I learned many years ago every little bit more you gain with snow the better off you are. And I’m sure you agree with that. But for some odd reason I always loved doing it. Thank you for the video I did enjoy it very much. I apologize if I offended or upset you. I do have around ten years of experience moving snow. Not with that type of machine but with all with a bucket. Whether it was a tractor or skid steer it was always with a bucket.

@arctic-rebel
@arctic-rebel 11 ай бұрын
Hi Matt, yes English and yes in Lappland, it is the best for visibility and ease of exit and entry to be honest. If you take the door of even better. Not very agile, if fact the most difficult of all tractors to drive being rear wheel steer, however once mastered the drive wheels being at the front and under the blade or bucket gives it so much grunt it is better the most others. setting aside 4x4s. Why didn't it survive, I have covered this in other video's but short story it may be badged as a Volvo but is not. Volvo bought out BM and continued to finish what was on the production lines or like mine already finish and not sold and the company became BM Volvo and then Volvo BM. What Volvo wanted was the engine

Hi Kirby, it does now. There is a factory radiator under the seat but it has never worked so when I did the service back in the summer I bled it and fixed the fan and it now works. The problem seems to be it takes 4 hours of running before it gets hot which I did not know until yesterday. Time to block of the main radiator to get the engine to warn quicker I think.

@@arctic-rebel I have to block off my loader radiator when it gets really cold or the heater will not blow hot air. I just use a piece of cardboard. If it makes the motor run hot I just cut a hole in the card board. The last few years I have saved the cardboard so the hole is already sized. LOL

Hi, for sure a hard day but it could be worse I could have to do it by hand. She is fully greased and serviced, always makes those noises but only during the coldest months. Thanks for dropping in.

@arctic-rebel Please don't mistake my observations as criticism, I started on a Clark Michigan 275C loader, I miss those days. I also live in Maine we get snow not like where you live but it's a long day plowing snow.

I didn't, but unless you know the extremes it is hard to know what effects it has on materials. I have seen steel shatter like glass. Things make weird sounds and in my first years here everything was terrifying and then you understand and get used to it. Not always easy to portray that in every video and really appreciate you commenting and joining the madness. Thank you again. @@PAYNEKILLER..

I took the door of yesterday morning, it is so restrictive when is freezes up I cannot see the edge of the road and this is cause a rollover into ditch. Yes I know that jacket is dirty and worn, bit there is life left in it is the most comfortable warm work jacket I have. You will get used to it.
