Guys! You need to understand that Volvo is more a Europe truck and in Europe we have very strong rules about the length of the truck, so if Volvo would make a bigger cab then it will go over the length and would be illegal to drive. Even this cab (XXL) what they added a little bit of length can only carry containers because that container trailer is shorter. And that why Europe truck are way shorter than cabover trucks.

Thats why Europe sucks ass, what the hell does it matter if a combination is 16 or 21 meters? For example in Germany a car hauler can be 20 meters. And in Sweden/Finland max lenght is 24/25.25 meters. Lenght is just set arbitrary with a total disregard for driver confort on long journeys. I am glad I no longer drive a coffin on wheels.

Pretty damn much! I can see those for stateside day cabs for ltl or regional out 2 back 1 out 2 off weekends! Good for tight docks so you can blindside without fretting!

As an American truck driver I can say that all basic american trucks have that much bead space equivalent just in floor space before you even get to the bed, wich is usually twin XL or Full size. Damn I feel bad for non american truckers My Volvo VNL 760 semi truck is one of the smallest on the american market and still has a ton of room and closet space and bed space

Stian Myrdal Laursen the main reason is that american trucks with long bonnet are not allowed to be used in EU transport. VNL is the beast.

mexykpietrov Australia is currently reviewing transport laws. We have submitted requests for vehicle lengths to be increased. we can have 30m B trains now, but only on certain routes. unfortunately we cant use the longer trailers with the VNL style truck on city roads, only freeways.

What else as got it is not all about a bed OK I used to work for a company in 1974 or 1975 it had beds u could have 8 hours sleep in 8 mins he call it the microwave bed m farmers transport and most company s had beds just to look at does any one remember night and day all the time this is true
