Volvo V50/S40 front brake pads and discs change

Swapping out the old pads and discs on the front, another job required to get it through the MOT.
Straight forward, general service job, hope it helps someone

I have the same car and I assume I will have to have my discs and pads changed for inspections coming up in the summer. What replacement parts did you use?

As i can see.. i have to order brake pads for the 16" wheels. Slightly smaller even though I have 300 marked on the caliper,. The pads are slightly larger. With wear , developing a lip on the outside of the pad.. instead of having a lip on the disk itself. I got slanted wear too.. must be for the same reason..
