Thank you for that mate. This is the same as in the Volvo V70R AWD. I was able to change my Fuel pump with your help.

We have a 1998 V70R AWD too. Nice car. If you are not aware, the s60 manifold that has 5 into one ( unlike stock one with 2 cylinders tied together) will bolt right on and is good for 10 HP more. That is a good Viking name! I am the husband, this is my wife's account.

Best video ever! People thinks that the damper is the regulator, now they know. Good work! 👍

The Dremmel tool cutting procedure inside the car boot works much quicker... takes 2.5 hours to do the entire fuel pump replacement and recovery repair. A flap is cut of 3 sides to to allow access and the metal folded back. Fibreglass makes a solid repair. There is an excellent video on this. The 3 sides need to be cut approximately 5 inches in an unfinished square pattern. Otherwise, the procedure shown here is 8 hours in a mechanics estimator and there are a slew of special tools required, jack stands, the works!

Hi Buddy, Could you send a link to the video showing the 2,5 hours procedure? :) thanks

Probably quicker..but this looks like the correct way to do it. Tools any mechanic should have

I just had the manager of the O'Reilly's Auto parts spend almost an hour with me trying to find the location of a 2001 Volvo V70 XC AWD fuel pressure regulator & we could not find it anywhere on the vehicle, or in any diagrams, or any parts breakdown!!! I wish you would have included the part number, because that's the next challenge.

My fuel pump is starting to fail. Would it possible to leave the wheels on and lift up the body away from the subframe and arms?

what are the 2 green hoses just below the pump assemble on underside?
@dsrosser2 жыл бұрын
I think those are fuel lines running from the filter to the engine.

Now you can not say that this isn't proof the mechanic had some funky time with the engineers wife 😅😂😂

Can I cut a panel out in the backseat to access this pump?
@robertvanruyssevelt71595 жыл бұрын
Yes definitely preferable !

I was thinking these should be accessible by removing the rear seats.... why Volvo didn't design with an access panel is a mystery?????
