Volvo V90 Cross Country review - sliding about on ice | Mat Vlogs

I’m in northern Sweden testing the new Volvo V90 Cross Country. This rugged version of the usually classy Swedish estate car, features four wheel drive, a raised ride height and therefore, jacked up suspension for a better view out of the driving seat, as well as a smoother ride over bumpy roads. I put it to the test on snowy Swedish roads to see how smooth it actually is, before switching to something a bit different; a frozen lake! Can it handle the slippery surface? Will I be able to control the steering on this unusual surface? Find out in this slightly chilly vlog.

Big fan of the volvo interiors. I'm never usually lean towards lighter interiors, but the volume cream leather and light wood veneers is one of the nicest interiors on offer today. Really nice modern, minimalist and bright.

I just stumbled across this review and noticed that he’s literally driving in my local area. For those wondering, he essentially drove Rödön-Krokom-Nälden-Alsen-Mörsil-Åre. Road Z615 -> E14 -> Z666 -> E14. Probably picked it up at Östersund-Frösön Airport.

This is not that type of car and will never be. I personally would love a v6 with both turbo and super charged, but lets be honest - hybrids + 4cyl are probably the new standard very soon. I reckon a electric engine from a tesla + a good 4 cyl would destroy any v8 ;)

The outside mirrors are raised too in comparison to the standard V90, in order to aid visibility off-road and when towing, but they tend to get in the way of lateral visibility when at roundabouts and junctions.

Subi_fan why not? I have a 2016 Volvo V40CC awd and it makes 250hp. It's quite fun, especially now during the winter. Also, it can make most of the bmws, mercs and audis sweat on the highway or a twisty road.

Can anybody tell me if they are front fog lights on that car? Looking at used and up to 35k and NONE have those lights on!!??? Any idea why? I personally don't like the cars without them lights on it looks like sometning is missing. How comes this one has them fitted?

carwow so basically a 996.2 with what would be called today the GTS treatment (X51, lowered suspensions, accelerator with sport mapping) and factory 996.2 GT3RS club sport interior. It is surprisingly raw and fast, i can almost keep up with 996 GT3s. I love 996s.

I used to have an XC60. Made in 2013. The engine died at 60000 km. Turned out to be a known problem with the belts. That was it for me. Now I'm with the BMW.
