Thanks a lot for this video, cool explained! I just bought this camera for our new XC60 because I really do not see much of what is going on in the back of the car. This nice tool should be helpful and easy to install without messy cables . And yes, you could charge it in the 12V socket in the trunk if needed. Seems to be great stuff!

I have a 2015 xc70 and the factory backup camera is so poorly designed and off-center (I have been told by both dealerships and independents that this is how they were back then) that it is nearly unusable for parking. I may go with this. Thanks for doing this video.

Try researching the company, they come off a little sketchy, or at minimum obscure. All product reviews I could find (including this one) appear to be sponsored or offer some type of promotion. Auto Vox website has zero info on the company and there is no customer support. It might be a good product, it might also be a cheap toy that ends up in the trash in a few months. It looks like a great product, but it also looks like a $200 gamble.

@@volvosweden Поехал к ОД, говорю "хочу", поставили оригинальную с включением в заводской телевизор, чуть дороже (300 евро) , но родное всё такое :) Нельзя портит внешний вид такой прекрасной машины :)

Cool stuff! In my XC60 MY10 the 12v socket in the luggage compartment is always powered, even when ignition is off. I just thought that would be another easy way to charge the camera if needed.

I ordered this yesterday because I recently bought a rav4 and I’m leaving for a trip soon. I don’t have time to take apart the car to wire a back up camera. Hopefully it will fit on the RAV4 plate, it’s also off side so I’m assuming there’s going to be a blind spot.

His xc70 is just like my 2010 s80. On the higher trim, it has a screen on the dash, going up and down to show nav and backup camera. But his xc70 does not have that screen. It will be almost impossible to install OEM backup cam. My s80 is the higher trim without the backup cam, which only has the parking sensor on the tiny screen. That bigger screen which can go up and down, for me, is totally useless. I have to use a remote to turn it on. I never use it. But the parking sensor works fine though.

Я себе на старенькую хонду поставил "прыщик" с Aliexpress за 10$, запитал от лампы заднего хода, видео-кабель привел к магнитоле 2din с экраном 7". Удобно, компактно, только провода прокладывать геморно. Беспроводная канешн лучше в этом плане
