Doom: My father died in the bitter cold of the mountains while escaping them giving me the clothes off his back for extra warmth. He wasn't killed by a mere gun. The baroness wasn't sick in labor, but sick with a cancer my father could not cure. He was discouraging of my engagement of magic because my mother's used it in a way that cost her soul and didn't me to do the same. Doom did not use his powers of time travel to try to rescue him only to realize his death was necessary. Doom spent years traveling to Mephisto's realm to rescue his loving mother's soul. Still this very well captures the character of Doom and better than most films and cartoons and shows that have portrayed him and doesn't make him look bad and shows him a hero, so Doom will permit it to play.
@mikaelamccallum13917 жыл бұрын
Hello Hollywood, are you paying attention?! This so desperately needs to be made into a feature with a certain cosmic powered quartet in some small or large part. After 2 big budget misfires, this humble but honest version so simply and effectively gets it right, because it adds the pain and hurt behind Doom's cold exterior. I just love it, brilliantly done.
@Ultinuc7 жыл бұрын
I'd prefer Doom to have his own 2 hour solo film as an origin story with little to no mention of the FF outside of Reed and Ben at the University. To make it more film-adaptable, they could mix a bit of Books of Doom and Triumph & Torment together. Or they could go straight Books of Doom (with the story told in a different way for film structural purposes) with the Cynthia von Doom arc as a subplot to be explored in a sequel. I mean come on. If there's one villain who deserves to have their own films, It's Doctor Doom.
@johnfrancisgillman68067 жыл бұрын
I think they should play against expectations and adapt Infamous Iron Man, the first film featuring a good Doom relinquishing hs dictatorship over Latveria, not for noble reasons, but because he's bored, which is fitting with the events of Infamous, wherein Doom gives up his villainous ways because he's already accomplished as much as he could as a villain (enslaving the multiverse). It would be easier and more in character than adapting Secret wars first. Following the death of Tony Stark within the MCU (RBJ would still be around as his digital self in an Ironheart film the same year, that way they can get around the aging process). His first film would have Doom going against Aron the Rogue Watcher, a good start-up villian who could reasonably have a standing chance against Doom. The second film would feature good Doom going up against evil Reed (The Maker). The third film would feature the Time Infinity Stone (featured in this short) with the Infamous Iron Man going up against the worst he could be, the classic villainous Victor Von Doom, teaming up with the classic Reed. Tom Ellis (Television's Lucifer) for Doom anyone?

dont count doom out of the MCU, i have a feeling that the first infinity war wont have thanos aquiring all the gems in in that installation, so depending on what deals can be made afterwards (espicially seeing how great it worked letting marvel work with spider man before finally aquiring him) and the direction they decide to take in the Avengers:IW2 - half the heroes being wiped out, they could find a way to incorporate doom, surfer and other assets that were in the original comic(like when doom tried to snatch the gaunlet for himself lol).... shit could be more epic than we ever imagined

That awkward moment when a fan film with shoe string budget and no name actors can pull off a better production than a multi-billionaire studio can. Now to specifics : acting : better than i expected considering a fan film even better than Asylum and Syfy's crew, plot : never thought a 10 minute fan film could go THIS deep by mixing time travel and fate to prove some things should never change. "hero" doom looks quite terrifying but the mask could've been better but that's just me. cinematography : starts with an intriguing setting ends with such a setting, to capture audience attention and keep on wanting more. dialogue : better than some hollywood's blockbusters i've seen , accent of doom is maintained so felt authentic and voice could've been better but again just a minor thing.
@andrewforte38525 жыл бұрын
The perfect Doom mask is from Flash Gordon, when one of Ming's villainous henchmen lips were actually moving in the mask, it was simple yet brilliant an extension of his face, that's how Doom's mask should exactly be showned.

I won't lie, Doom's armor looks kinda mid aside from the mask, but other than that, this fan film is fucking GOLD. Pure gold. Also, finally, a depiction of Doom that represents what Jack Kirby originally intended Doom to be from his design alone; Death personified. This is it. Death is something without mercy. Human flesh contains that mercy. Therefore, it has to be concealed; erased from the surface. I don't get why this is such a hard concept for most adaptations of the character to grasp.

I heard this short film cost $11,000. Money well spent. Are you reading this 20th Century Fox? It's better than the cheesy, childish, Fantastic Four movies from 2005 & 2007 and the more recent misfire that, again, didn't do Doctor Doom any justice at all. The costume was a bit off, with it's flimsy hood, but the voice of Doom was great. Decent visual effects and good music, I would have paid to watch this!
