Justin has taught me that I can play slide with only 3 fingers :) Have played for 50 years but lost the feeling in the little & ring finger on my left hand after a car wreck. I had never played slide and thought I'd never play again but then a friend sent a link to me with Justin and now I'm playing leads again! Thanks to my friend and to Justin :)

I've never had a lesson for any instrument but I read music and grew up playing an organ and a piano. I'm decent on keyboards and have about $3.5k worth of equipment. I haven't been able to really touch it or my bass guitar (I'm about a 4/10 on that.) all last year. Work's been calling me way too much. People like you make me realize I need to live a little more and I thank you for that. I gotta say if someone had told me I'd be listening to Voodoo Child played on a shovel I would've told em to put the crack pipe down. LOL. Dude, seriously. You nailed it. I stood and applauded. That was _amazing._

Mountainman, I hear you brother, I’m kinda in the same boat... just an iddy biddy bit further along..,, I can kinda make my own music now. Crap combated to Justin here, but don’t get discouraged, just keep on trying man. For 18 months I was so bad, I used to get embarrassed trying to play, to myself, in a room, by myself, with the door closed and no one on the house. At 24 months I started playing my music to my wife.., apparently I didn’t suck so much. 4 year down the track I play for whom ever I choose. I’ll never be a pro, I’ll never be in Justin’s league, but I’m happy with my music and so are those I play for, even if it’s mostly friends and family. The journey’s the good bit. Justin is fine inspiration, but you shouldn’t judge your level by him. I’m 55, I’ve been mad on all sorts of guitar music since I was in single digits, Justin J has got to be one of the top 10 musicians I’ve Ever heard... and brother, I’ve heard thousands. Man I sure can crap on when I get going. Hope you’re still playing, and getting better. TimC

The sounds that come out of that miraculous instrument is pure perfection. I never knew I wanted to play an electric guitar until I found this video that to me has a unique guitar sound that calls to me. Watching Justin Johnson work his magic here in this truly epic performance is like watching a master sword smith from Japan craft a masterpiece $500,000 katana.
