I can vouch for this unit whole-heartedly. I really does run cool, really cool its surprising. The SAG control is great, especially with a wah or fuzz pedal. Really nice power supply, if you have "ghosts' in your board this you're probably just powering incorrectly or have pedals in the wrong order.

The Whammy actually draws less than 400mA so you can use the High-Current outputs on the Mondo. Thanks, PGS
@drum2066 жыл бұрын
excuse me but the pedal says that it needs 1.3A to run not 400mA.i trying to get a power supply that can handle it,but none has such a big output.are you sure about that? thanks

Really good power supplies like this are like a good tuner - they're not sexy at all, but If you gig a lot they're important. My experience with my Pedal Power 2 has been very good. I have to play indoors/outdoors, different temperatures/humidities, and most of all, situations where the venue's power and grounding can be iffy. I do have to run my Boss Loop station through its own wall wart to get a clean sound, but other than that it's great.

You will get more noise from any pedal board mounted power supply. Keeping your power supply close to your back line away from your pedals I have found to be consistently more quiet

Can I run just 9v pedals off of the all 12 inputs, or are the 12V inputs only for higher currency pedals?

Yes

I have the Crybaby 535Q - it uses a standard 9v power supply (negative centre). If you want 18v you can combine to 9v outputs. Hope this helps!

Have to grab the voltage doubling cable to do 18v. Plugs into two 9v spots. Shame it still doesn't offer the option on the supply itself.

This seems a bit complicated, but i'm intrigued since it seems to be the only supply that can power a Blackstar HT Dist X due to the output on the back

What if you need a power supply for your rack? Racks are becoming all the more common these days, and rack lovers often need something that can power rack effects as well as traditional pedals.

Is it still possible to run "normal" 9v pedals from the "High Current" side of the supply?
@jjohnson90099 жыл бұрын
+Peter Green if by normal you mean less than 150mA than no but thats where slots 1-4, or 7&8 apply. The secondary functions are switchable

A Strymon in a PGS demo!?
@AndyCharlesMusic11 жыл бұрын
Hi there, I'm curious, what power output is being used to power the Timefactor? The manual says that it needs 1000ma to operate, and the highest output on the Mondo is 400ma. Cheers
@nitemareman110 жыл бұрын
A lot of Strymon effects need a power supply that can deliver 1000ma. But it's the device (pedal) itself that determines how much power it draws. If you plug a regular EHX nano pedal (that uses less than 100ma) into a 1000ma wall wart, you won't blow up the pedal. The pedal decides how much power to pull, there isn't power being forced into it. So my thought would be that even tho the manual or power supply says 1000ma it would be just fine to plug the Strymon into the 400ma plug and see if it works. My guess is it will.
@AndyCharlesMusic10 жыл бұрын
nitemareman1 No, I've found since, that my Strymon pedals require no more than 300ma to operate, but yes you are right a pedal will use no more than it needs. But also since I wrote this comment I decided not to go for an Eventide pedal. Also I will say that I have gone for the Mondo and it powers everything on my board without issues :)
@nitemareman110 жыл бұрын
I have the same thing. My Mondo even powers my Moogerfooger delay with a reverse polarity cable with no problems. I only have a Strymon Flint but it powers that just fine.

@MrGul8 жыл бұрын
If you have a lot of "standard" pedals that don't use more than 100 mA, then you can daisy chain them to the same output as long as the combined mA use doesn't exceed what the output gives in total.

is it safe to use pedals that take 100mA or less into all of the power outputs including the high power ones?
@lightwarriors77785 жыл бұрын
kzbin.info/www/bejne/apLaoXpubtp6abM Just make sure voltage is the same, and negative/positive are the same on the pedal as the output source from your power supply and youre golden. It will only draw what is needed, but if you underpower one when it needs more amps you can do some damage as well. Watch that video and you will thank me later. It really cleared my questions up after watching it.
