your view of the Mustang EcoBoost as more of an import than an outright muscle car is actually a very interesting take. I makes me think of the car in a different way, and i suddenly like the whole idea of such a Mustang. This is why I love the car community. Cheers!

I agree but I wish they'd done something different with the different levels of them. Say round tail lights, smoother fenders, etc. I know it takes some of the styling away but I mean I'd rather they do that or make a different sports car overall like they used to. It would help stop the 6 cylinder or 4 cylinder ford sports car hate. In my opinion as an enthusiast, a car's styling should match its sound. It's the whole package. Rounder body panels would reduce drag and make the car faster

Needs a straight 6 like back in the day (60's) except capable like a 2jz from the factory, then unleash the aftermarket on it. They could easily make a legend....but they made a 4 door electric turd. Iococca is rolling in his grave.

Isnt a Centrifugal Supercharger the worst type to pair with a turbo? A centrifugal supercharger builds boost at high RPM, and a turbocharger builds boost at high rpm and load. Wouldn't a roots or twin screw supercharger pair better? They'd build boost right out of an idle, and when the supercharger started to run out of umph, the turbo would kick in.

Probably packaging snd it being easier to add a clutch for disengage the super charge when the boost comes on. They also could just gear it to make the boost way faster then the turbo without it blowing itself apart at the top.

But when you switch to the next gear,all of that boost kicks in instantly so it’s fast as hell from 2nd gear red line to 3rd gear redline and the same story with 5th and 6th gear and 8th gear to 9th

​@@nottobay6768modern roots and twin screw vloeers have built in bypass valves. Meaning you dont even need the clutch. Just bypass for disabling the super. Also with interchillers now being oem on some cars. Couldve just done water to air under the blower snd after the turbo. Reduced packing space a boatload. And yeah. Function like a lancia.

I drove a new Buick Gran Sport the other day that blew my mind, it had twin scroll turbos and 320hp on a 6 speed manual. I loved it I hadn’t felt power like that since I drove a vette or Camaro. Look them up there quick little cars and handle good to. I would love to buy one.

Prob spools faster than a compound turbo system, my buddy had a diesel drag truck with compound turbo, big turbo into a smaller turbo into the intake, exhaust into small turbo then large turbo, thing was fast as hell, 4wd short bed Cummings, dude would go through 2 20k transmissions a yr, I was hella impressed. But a SC dumping into a turbo, that's far superior

Im curious if the motor's internal were upgraded? The ecoboost turbo can put out 15psi boost (at least mine does) I know turbos are on demand, but the two together would make me wonder wgen it would implode!

I'd love to put this kit on my fully built 2.0 ecoboost. If your vortech reps would be interested in trying this setup on a fully capable ecoboost let me know. My current set up includes a fully built bottom end, machined head, aux fuel, a gen 2 3076r, and built trans with all other supporting mods you can think of.

I had a turbo coupe. Cool little cars. Too few if them left because people would buy them cheap on the used market to scavenge the turbos to put on stangs. Apparently it was cheaper to buy a whole ass used car than to buy a new turbo.

Don't get me wrong, this is a cool build but it's still a turbo powered by a belt. Parasitic drag with turbo lag? Meanwhile the wail of a banshee from a Twin screw accompanied by a BOV would have me driving Lonely Island style 🎵 Wear a rubber at all times 'cause it's a necessity 🎵 A proper PD set-up would require 2 throttle bodies, separate air intakes and a special wastegate post SC. More power from better thermal efficiency, however it's complex as hell. Not to mention cooling it all 🤔 Just my 2¢
