Waze is good but it only works if the cop is stationary on the side of the road, it doesn’t account for a sheriff that gets on the highway Al the sudden, all law enforcement need to have trackers in their vehicles at All times and have those trackers report to Waze all the time

If the radar is in an unmarked car which is not stationary waze is useless. I got caught in this way by some assholes police, which tailgated me with high beam on, and I fell for their trap and end up losing my driver's license, I didn't even have a radar detector then which might have told me what the car tailgating me really was . Waze was no use, I even marked the police car on Waze and it didn't stay on for more than 5 minutes, either the police removed it or other drivers which didn't see a police car.

I used a blinder for years--had a car set up to do a cannonball run.I even tested with a curious local police and it would jam right up to maybe 100 feet when i guess the laser was too strong--but it gave you plenty of time.I also had a kill switch built in--the blockers looked like those deer whistles they use to sell.BTW these should work for what they are charging

According to many V1 users, an RD will give you a lidar save. Only about .5% of the time is this true. Even scatter saves are rare. Most RDs, including the V1 , are nothing more than ticket notifiers for lidar.

I used to install laser/LIDAR jammers in WA about a decade ago. BIGGEST "rule", do NOT jam all the way to the gun people! Pull your E-brake, downshift, whatever to get down to the speed limit and shut everything OFF ( just don't hit your brakes especially at NIGHT! OR have your brake lights on a kill switch...). Worst installs ever, Porsche because the engine is in the rear and there's practically ZERO "holes" going through the front firewall to any run wires!

I have an adaptiv TMG for my motorcycle and I endorse it.. it has come with several bad heads but adaptiv quickly replaced them.. the cpu casing is not water proof but water resistant. in our tests the TMG did jam all laser guns to the source and from the back it did decent even against dragon eye.

I’m thinking those Stinger fiber heads look ideal for motorcycle use. Mounting space of any kind is at a premium, even on ADV bikes, but definitely on the sports and sport-naked models a jammer would be most useful on. I seriously hope this is where the laser jammer industry as a whole is headed, as I’ve long thought the existing heads to be needlessly large.

Great Review Vortex. I have to agree with you on the veil G5 and G4. It seems the only person who says his test results show veil to work is Bob the Veil guy. We tested veil back in 2009 and it did aweful. We got attacked by the veil guy for not recommended it in our video. Other than that I'm looking forward to seeing another Laser jammer test against all the latest guns you have for 2021. :)

My Porsche Panamera sport Turismo looks great with roof box, but is the roof box has some vertical reflective surfaces in the front and back, should I be worry about those area since I already install the full set of ALP on my car. As a computer tester one thing I thought that you could do is actually inform viewers which version your using on radar detectors and equipment. As some versions have more issues than others I believe it will be useful to inform us if you have the most up to date updates. Just a thought from a beloved fan.

@@VortexRadar Hey, just an update on my ALP system. The control box has started to fry all my heads. Apparently this has happened to someone else before. They replaced the control box, the 2 TX heads, and rear RX heads. Now the front RX heads have stopped working. Very frustrating. Working on trying to get the whole system replaced under warranty, but Alex in Canada is making things difficult to get resolved. Thought you might be interested in knowing. I otherwise love the system, but now I'm stuck without a system until all this gets resolved.

So I have watched a ton of your videos. Love them all. I had a ALP for a long time. I’m not sure why this is never mentioned in your videos. You can’t use the BT module and the Hi Fi together. Unless they have changed this. This is a really big annoyance I had with it. I always had to look at my phone. I now have the Max CI and I love it. With escort live and the fact I have it in my Pioneer head unit also is amazing. Also every time I called ALP for support the guy was rude and did not care to help.

With the Escort's M1 Dash Camera, it will not even allow communication with IDatalink Maestro RR2, the same issue stated inside the video. The M1 is nice for if you move your radar from vehicle to vehicle. For my summer car, I have it hardwired to the RR2 and use a GOPRO for a dash camera. I am thinking of adding laser shifting to my Max360C, it shows on my Kenwood it can do laser shifting as an option. If you are going for Escort, stay away from the M1 for more permanent installs. A sub-par dash camera for a unreasonable price.

Oh wow, I didn't know it broke Maestro communication too, but that makes sense. If you want to add in laser shifting, be sure to keep the M1 out of the equation or just get an ALP instead.

If in the UK...LASER JAMMERS ARE HIGHLY ILLEGAL ! Back in 2021 a motorist was prosecuted for using a laser jammer. The situation was made ten times worse by him claiming the jammer was a parking sensor and he was convicted of 'perverting the course of justice'. He was given a eight jail sentence and the court ordered his equipment ripped out of his car and destroyed.

In Canada, it is legal to install laser jammer in BC, AB, and SK. However, it is illegal to use the laser jamming equipment in all provinces in Canada. The reason is that it is illegal to use the laser jammer to defeat police speed measurement. The police can flag the driver over and determine if the car have jamming equipment. Police can seized the laser jamming equipment and the driver may have a criminal record if convicted.

You mention US and Canada, is ALP available in Europe ? Looong time ago I can recall the best laser jammer sold as a parking aid was from east Europe... They won a high court case as it was sold as parking aid and owner was warned to turn if off as it had this "bad" effect to jam lasers ?

I think that CHP uses laser and possibly radar, LAPD uses radar, LASO (LA Sheriff) I'm not sure... there are so many cities in the LA area it is difficult. The main distributor for Blinder passed away a few years back. Now Blinder’s products are sold under the Escort brand name as the ShifterMax series/ZR5/ZW5. I have nothing against Blinder and happily ran their products for several years.

How do you know if police are using dragoneye guns in your area? I live in Colorado, specifically Parker but I drive to the springs and Denver all the time. I'd like a laser jammer although I am not sure that I need the premium ALP package unless there are dragoneye's in my area. Due to its insane price I am hesitant to get the ALP. What do you think? I slowed down and of course right around a slight curve 3 WSP motorcycle were doing laser. BTW I always try to observe the posted speed, but this time I was late.
