Great review thanks! One point - you're measuring the AC power use at the wall, not the actual output being provided to the miner. Since there's undoubtedly some inefficiency between what it's consuming vs what it's providing, it's output is likely less than the units rated maximum. It would be interesting to use a USBC power meter and see what's actually coming out of the business end :)

@Vosk you are correct with the 80% rules on “ circuit / circuit breaker” however that’s NOT true for PSU’s the rating on the PSU‘s is for “continuous” power draw so you can pull 100% 24/7 however doing so is less efficient, more PSU’s are more efficient around 50-60% load and yes runs cooler as well, overall very fun review more please!! BTW i got my 3S’s for only $269 each without discount.

What’s the best way for a beginner to get into bitcoin mining?
@Oofsmageroo7 күн бұрын
this is probably a good way for a beginner to understand how it works and join a pool and start hashing. is it the most profitable entry definitely not. if you have a place that can handle extra heat (3700 watts) basically 2.3 space heaters running 24/7 and a 220/240v power outlet a larger miner like the one vosk pointed in this video is a lot more profitable but your looking at 10x the cost of this miner as well as a very noticeable increase in your electric bill. this mini miner is actually a good way to get started as if you can point it to a pool or start solo mining setting up the larger miners is basically the same besides adapting your 220v outlet to accept a PDU that the larger asic will plug into
@mfinite6896 күн бұрын
Bitcoin mining is an arms race so if you're not prepared to put down a large chunk of cash on it then it's better to just buy bitcoin. The only ones making money on bitcoin mining are the electric companies and the miner manufacturers.

At a couple of dollars a month, it makes more sense to buy BTC….at a 1 in a million shot it a lottery ticket and lotteries are unrealistic to think your ticket will hit. I’ve always wanted to get into mining but think that BTC is becoming extraordinarily hard for a small individual miner. Seems like alt coins are the only place a small miner can make any money.

@VoskCoin 1. Thank You for answering 2. Once you made a video about mining with any laptop or PC. A few months have passed since then and I would like to know if you have any experience with mining software or a program that can be set up for specific coins. I would like to start with ltc mining on the PC but I can only find programs that "mine BTC" and then convert it into supposedly earned ltc. And buying a ready-made LTC miner is expensive. Especially since why shouldn't I be able to use the technology I already have.
