Voted Best Buffet in Vegas | Bountiful Dinner Buffet @ Wynn Las Vegas

After spending a great time in Vegas with the friends, it's time to get back home. Well, at least that was the plan. Flying on a discount airline usually means taking on the slim chance where schedules can change; and that's exactly what happened. While my friends are heading to the airport on their way home, I received a message indicating my flight was cancelled. Hmm, that would mean another night in Vegas...Great!
While a bit award being by myself, the suggestions from Clarise at the concierge made for an exciting evening.
First, the food... A dinner at the Wynn Buffet.
Next, the transportation... By helicopter?!? Why not
Having dined that the Wynn Restaurants previously for brunches at their buffet and at the Lakeside restaurant, I knew that dinner would be a Wynner... Their dinner offered an even more bountiful spread with lavish dishes too many to sample. All were amazing.
However, getting there was half the fun. The suggestion of the helicopter was something I would have never thought of...but when in Vegas, why not! Our pilot Zach from Maverick Helicopters was not only a great pilot, but a great guide to the night sky of Vegas. Truth be told Clarise suggested a helicopter tour...which was what I took and I would highly recommend it. We started at the airport and ended at the airport; this was not an Uber type ride that was depicted; just meant for fun and a big thank you to Clarise and Zach for being great sports and playing along.
All in all, an amazing extra night in Vegas and very grateful to be able to have you all join along.

I'm sorry you missed your flight but if you hadn't we would not have seen the beautiful skyline of Las Vegas today of which I am grateful for. I was looking for a video of the skyline I never flew in a helicopter. I used to live in Vegas 30 years ago and thinking of moving towards that area in the future. Hi Reel Fishing, thanks so much. The helicopter flight was actually a tour that I took from Maverick. It was quite enjoyable and I got a discounted rate of about $80 as they were trying to fill up empty seats on a weekday evening (I booked it through the concierge at the hotel). Give it a try if you get the chance... The airtime is actually quite short, but this includes pickup at your hotel and some nominal snacks and drinks. Tim Lee we had a nice day. My cousin has a T-day breakfast and we all bring different breakfasts foods. Then about 11 everybody splits to go either finish cooking the main meal or going to in-laws. We’ve done it now for about 20 years. This way we get to be together but only have to eat one turkey meal. Instead of everybody trying to do two different families and meals.

Thanks Cindy, Bacchanal is still the favorite (as is Aria based on the price/value). I think what does it for me at the Wynn over the wicked spoon were the stations... All very good though so wouldn't be disappointed with any of them...

Stayed at the Wynn some years ago, the most incredible breakfasts, lunches, dinners. Sleeping on their beds/pillows is like floating on clouds/air. Unfortunately Las Vegas was TOO hot for me, dripping sweat even in the shade.

Nice to know. I never got a chance to stay at the Wynn as it's a bit out of the price range, but it sounds great.. I suspect their rates may be lower now...

Hi Sharon, I certainly don't waste much food except one of the steaks that was cut from the carving station. I asked for a fatty piece but it was all fat...that was too much for me. But yeah, I definitely finish the food as I take only small portions; but a variety of small portions :-)
