In reality, the 109 should be able to comfortably escape a Spitfire in a dive. In game, it can't. I think the eye-opener for me was being chased down by an i-16 at 4000m that climbed up to me while I was flying a Mosquito that was *not* in a low-energy state. The i-16 was a depression-era joke. We really have to remember that the game was designed by people who are honoring their Russian aviation heritage. But the planes are modelled in game with those rose-colored glasses. The i-15 and i-153 which were obsolete compared to everything at 1.0 are comically OP. I'm with you, but I'm also not surprised that the game works this way. :)

Do you think those Russian bi-planes are overperfoming?
@chris_bianchi138 күн бұрын
Nope, not surprised. The Reggiane has a DB605 engine, and is more on par with an LF Spit probably out-turning it in the right hands. I feel you on all the Corsair issues, I thought you could almost dive away and outspeed anything too. Not so.

@chris_bianchi13 maybe they changed the 2005. It's been years since I've flown the thing.

The snail sucks. Unfourtunatly it has no serious competitors.

The F4U-4B is one of the most meta Props in the game. There is no debate over this I have no idea what you are talking about.

@@MeanHereAT it is a good plane. But i didn't have a good time. My playstyle and how games are played at this BR don't seem to mesh well at all.

@plainkiller01365 күн бұрын
@@MeanHereAT slow and methodical. I get to altitude about 4-5k meters. The importance of this varies depending on plane im flying. Then I work my way down the chain from highest enemy to lowest. I prefer boom and zoom and energy fighting. Dogfighting is usually a last resort or if I'm feeling frisky. But I'm no stranger to it either. I try to help teammates as best I can without breaking the "work your way down" rule as best I can.

@@plainkiller0136 yeah yeah, seems like the usual I might have to play with you at that tier since I haven't played US props in a year or two, the only fighters I fear that are at that relative tier are the Spit LF Mk.9, Yak-3U & I-225

Also since when was the Corsair a slow pace plane? do you know how dominant it is in 2.7 vs 109 E's & F-1's?

@MeanHereAT Mainly me not getting along with the plane. I have a video planned to be out soon of me.showing the exact opposite of "U.S. main copiun." But this video was more than just about US planes not fitting the game. But I'm still new to this so I probably didn't articulate my point well enough.

@@MeanHereAT F4U-4 (comprared to a MkIX and a Yak3/9U it's good but not for inexperienced players), P-51D30 (requires alot of patience and abuse speed, means you need space and time) P-47 (P-51 without the initial climbrate) havent tested the F6F and the P-38 is pretty good so I'll count it as meta
